140. Caillou and the sheep Grandma: Are you ready to go?
Mommy: Ouch!
Daddy: Mommy is trying to get a rest in the living room.
Caillou: Mommy has a cold.
Grandma: And where she rests, we’re going to go visit a very special friend of mine.
Storyteller: Caillou loved going on the adventures with grandma. They were always so many surprises.
Daddy: Bye, Caillou.
Caillou: Bye, Daddy. Bye, Rosie.
Caillou: What’s that? Sheep! Wow, Grandma! Sheep look!
Storyteller: Caillou was very excited. He had never seen sheep that close before.
Caillou: It’s eating grass. Oh!
Grandma: He’s only saying hello, dear!
Caillou: Hello!
Grandma: Hello there! Hello, Emma!
Storyteller: Caillou wanted to stay with the sheep. But he knew he had to follow his Grandma.
Grandma: Emma, it’s so good to see you.
Emma: And who is this handsome young man?
Grandma: This is my grandson Caillou. Emma owns this farm.
Storyteller: Caillou was a little shy with Emma. But he was completely fascinated by everything around him.
Caillou: A sheep!
Mary: Come on! And I’ll show you all the wonderful things we do about the sheep we have this farm.
Caillou: Wow!
Storyteller: Caillou could not believe his eyes. They were the rainbow of beautiful colors.
And this could be Mary, could it? Look you! All grow up.
Caillou: I got it!
Mary: Thanks!
Storyteller: Caillou had never seen this spinning wheel before. He wasn’t sure what could be used for.
Mary: We used this spinning wheel to spin the wool and yarn.
Emma: It’s been around for a long time. Why don’t you use it with your Grandmother, Caillou? I used it in the shop for a decoration, but it still works.
Mary: Do you want to touch it? It’s wool of a sheep.
Grandma: The wool feels very soft, Caillou.
Emma: We also show you all we have done. You have to thread it. Mary, can you give me a hand?
Mary: Sure!
Caillou: Grandma, look!
Storyteller: Caillou thought it was pretty to need them pull the wool begun turning to the yarn. It was almost like a magic.
Grandma: Is it amazing?
Mary: Do you want to go see the sheep with me?
Storyteller: And that was what exactly Caillou wanted to do.
Grandma: Go ahead, Caillou!
Caillou: Yeah.
Emma: We have some tea and chat.
Storyteller: Caillou thought the sheep was very funny. It was much skinner than other sheep. Where did its wool go?
Caillou: Why is its back like that?
Storyteller: That probably just sheared him. Come and see!
Caillou: Mary, wait!
Storyteller: Caillou couldn’t believe what he would see. The man was taking the wool right off the sheep’s back.
Mary: Dad really concentrates when he shears the sheep. I bet he won’t even notice us.
Caillou: Is the sheep poor?
Mary: Oh no! And the wool will go back. Come on, I want to show you something else.
Caillou: What?
Mary: It’s a surprise.
Storyteller: Caillou was curious to see what would cover next.
Caillou: Is this wool?
Mary: Yes, it is. Oh no, he got out of the box again.
Storyteller: Caillou was a little scared.
Mary: Come on now, back in your box!
Storyteller: The sheep was much smaller than the other sheep. He looked like a baby. And he didn’t want to listen to Mary at all.
Mary: Come on!
Caillou: He drinks the milk from the bottle like Rosie used to. Is he a baby?
Mary: Yum! We call a baby sheep a lamb. A lamb loves milk, like the other babies do.
Storyteller: The lamb’s wool seemed even softer than the other wool he had touched before.
Caillou really liked the lamb.
Mary: Now let’s try again to get him back to the box. Do you want to hold the bottle?
Caillou: Ok!
Mary: You just have the bottle back up. The lamb will follow you all over the door.
Ok, Caillou! You can come out now!Sorry, no more! Thanks, Caillou!
Storyteller: Caillou was very proud of he had helped.
Grandma: We had a great time, Emma. Thank you so much. We have to do this more often.
Emma: Oh, definitely! Where’s Mary? Mary!
Mary: Here you go, Caillou! It’s for you.
Grandma: Caillou!
Caillou: Thank you!
Caillou: Look, Daddy! Look!
Daddy: Mommy’s sleeping in the living room.
Caillou: Look, Daddy! I got a sheep.
Rosie: Me!
Grandma: And Rosie gets a sheep, too.
Rosie: Me too!
Storyteller: Caillou decided to let the sheep be a good company and help Mommy sleep better.
Caillou: Gilbert! |
