Caillou: Gilbert, wake up. Look at my kite, wee. I’m going to the park to fly my kite today.
Mommy: Caillou? What are you doing?
Caillou: Mommy, get dressed. You said we were going to fly my kite today. Remember?
Mommy: I don’t think we can, Caillou, the calling for rain all day.
Caillou: All day?
Storyteller: Caillou was very disappointed. He was looking forward to trying out his new kite at the park.
Daddy: What’s wrong?
Caillou: I have nothing to do now.
Daddy: you could play with Rosie.
Caillou: I don’t want to play with Rosie.
Daddy: hay, I’ve even an idea. Maybe you could have a friend over.
Caillou: Leo.
Caillou: hello, can I speak to Leo, please. Oh, thank you, bye. He’s not there.
Storyteller: Caillou was discouraged he had no one to play with and nothing to do.
Daddy: cherry up. With a little imagination I am sure you can find something to do.
Mommy: I can’t see you, Rosie. Where is she?
Rosie: Caillou. Peek-a-poo.
Caillou: hi, this is my drawing.
Mommy: Caillou, she was just looking at it.
Rosie: pirate.
Storyteller: the pirate drawing and mommy playing with the sheets give Caillou an idea what he could do.
Caillou: okay, Rosie. You can have it.
Daddy: did you find something to do yet?
Caillou: ah-hum
Daddy: that strange. I could of sworn there was a~~, Caillou.
Storyteller: Caillou was building his very own pirate ship. He thought it would be fun to pretend to be the captain of this very own ship.
Caillou: hay, Gilbert. You raped my ship.
Rosie: me, too.
Caillou: Rosie, no. it’s mine. Rosie let it go.
Mommy: what’s going on in here? I’ll settle this right now.
Caillou: but I was playing with this.
Mommy: you can only play in the living room if you two playing nicely, okay?
Caillou: Rosie, this is my game.
Rosie: moo,moo.
Caillou: hay,
Rosie: meow.
Caillou: look, Rosie I’m a fish swimming in the sea.
Storyteller: Caillou was having fun now playing with Rosie. He liked the sight that he could always make her laugh.
Caillou: wait, Rosie. I know where I can get a fish. Look, there is a fish in the water. Yee. Oh, no. Gilbert is a shark. He wants to eat the fish.
Rosie: hahha, Gilbert.\
Caillou: we’re save now. But we have to build a boat.
Rosie: cat-fish, hahha.
Caillou: I’d better swim to shore and get some stuff for our boat.
Rosie: boat, boat.
Daddy: hay, Caillou. What you up to?
Caillou: I’m in the sea. Me and Rosie are going to built a boat because Gilbert is a shark.
Mommy: well, I haven’t seen any sharks around here.
Caillou: maybe he is hiding.
Daddy: here, maybe you can use this to find him.
Storyteller: Caillou was having a lot of fun playing pirates. Now he was all set to build his pirate ship with Rosie.
Caillou: Rosie, you are in the water, let’s built our boat. There, now we can be on the look-out for sharks. Look, Rosie and islands. Maybe theirs pirates.
Rosie: pirates?
Caillou: maybe, the pirates took Gilbert. I see a pirate.
Rosie: Daddy.
Caillou: hurry, hide from the pirate he’s going to catch us.
Daddy: Oar, I’m a fear this pirate. Look at this. And a bending boat.
Daddy: Umm, I think I’m going to climb a board. Oh, no. I surrender you caught me.
Caillou: okay, Mr. Pirate. Where’s Gilbert?
Daddy: I don’t know.
Mommy: hi, everyone, time for lunch.
Caillou: can we have a picnic on my boat?
Daddy: I think your boat is a little too small, Caillou.
Storyteller: Caillou knew what to do? If his boat was too small he just had to make a bigger one.
Caillou: Mommy, can we use the picnic blanket? Giblert, I found you.
Mommy: alright, I guess a rainy day is a good reason to have a picnic indoors.
Caillou: here you go, Gilbert.
Caillou: tuna fish.
Storyteller: and so, on a rainy day there began with nothing to do. Caillou and his family had a wonderful picnic by the sea. |
