制作字幕的步骤如下：

POPsub应该算是目前比较常用的制作时间轴的软件了，虽然现在有推出0.75的测试版，不过我自己还是喜欢0.74的版本，蛮稳定的。

下面是0.74版本的下载地址，地址是网上搜到的。

下面开始正式的教程：
1.下载好0.74的版本后，先解压，点击PopSub应用程序，即下图


2.第一次打开的话，会出现一个口令窗口，如下图

漫游口令：POPGO-FANSUB     同好口令：TONGHAO-FANSUB
随便输入哪个都可以的。

3.打开选项中的设置，如下图


首先设置下自动保存，因为经常会遇到一些突发情况，如果没有保存的话，很多辛苦的成果就白白浪费啦，这里设置60秒自动保存下，比较好。当然，手动保存也OK，^_^


这里的窗口保持置顶状态不推荐，建议大家最好不要选择这个选项


这里的快捷键你可以根据自己的习惯来进行设置


4.下面导入翻译稿，翻译稿可以是TXT文本格式的，但是这里必须要注意的是，一句一行，不要都连在一起。另外，写翻译稿的时候就先把文件名和你以后要导入的视频的文件名设置成一样的，这样后面就不用再改了，这个要切记啊！（下面的图里的字幕我乱打的，因为现在手头上没有在做，没现成的，冏~）


翻译稿准备好后，打开文件中的打开时间轴，出现如下图所示的对话框


选择你要导入的翻译稿，比如我要导入的就是20090504 XXXXXXXXXX.txt，打开后还会出现一个对话框，直接按确定就可以了，我不再截图了。

确定好后，你的翻译文稿就已经导入完毕了


5.到这一步后要先保存成为字幕文件，这样前面的设置自动保存才能起到效果，要不然是没用的哦。
点击文件—另存为时间轴，出现以下对话框


选择ASS格式时间轴，保存确定，这样你的时间轴就已经保存好了。

6.点击鼠标右键，选择反应时间（开始点）设置，出现以下对话框。

因为每个人都会有一定的反应时间的，所以这里你可以根据你自己的情况来设置反应时间。

用同样的方法，设置反应时间（结束点）设置。

7.下面开始正式的时间轴制作，制作时间轴最主要的是耐心和细心，慢慢来，急不得的哦~
选择文件—打开动画，这里支持的视频格式只能是AVI或MKV的，我目前只做过AVI的，MKV的还没试过。

因为要边做边看，所以窗口排列的时候，尽量像我这样，比较方便。


这里的播放速度自己可以调解。

8.接着播放视频，先点击你要插入时间的地方
  像这样黑框在哪个上面就是选中了哪个。

接下来就是对话开始按下F2（一开始设置的插入时间点的快捷键），对话结束也再按下F2，选择框会自动跳转到下一个单元。

注意：如果你不用POP里的动画功能，但是要看画面效果的话，提议你下一个暴风影音，把字幕文件和视频文件放一起，播放就可以看到了，但是切记，这里的两个文件名必须一样，就后缀不一样而已，要不然是看不到效果的哦。

9.时间插入完毕后，选择检查时间轴，即下图这个图标，然后会出现以下对话框


点击检查，如果没有错误，会出现没有发现错误的小框，如果有错误，也会有提示出现，然后根据提示进行适当的修改，直到没有错误为止。

最后再保存一下，用暴风影音观看最终效果，就OK啦！

以上上POPsub制作时间轴的基本步骤，POPsub里面有字体，特效等其他效果，大家可以等熟练以后慢慢研究掌握，希望我的教程能对刚接触POPsub的朋友有些帮助。

Narrator: Caillou loves snow. He couldn't wait to go outside to play in it.
Caillou: Look at all the snow.
Rosie: Snow.
Mommy: How about after breakfast I give you two a ride to the big park on your sled?
Caillou: Yeah.
Rosie: Caillou.
Mommy: Up we go.
Caillou: Go faster, mommy.
Mommy: Ah, I’ll try. Hold on. Oh, sorry, I can't. The snow is too deep and you guys are heavy.
Caillou: I want to help. Weee.
Caillou: Can I play with Andre?
Mommy: Okay.
Narrator: Andre was one of Caillou's older friends.
Narrator: It was hard for Caillou to climb up the big snow pile.
Andre: Look at me. I'm the king of the castle.
Caillou: Look at me.
Narrator: Caillou likes standing at top all by himself. He could see everywhere in the park.
Caillou: Hello.
Andre: Caillou, come on over here.
Caillou: Okay.
Andre: We can make a snow fort.
Caillou: Yeah.
Narrator: Though Caillou was not sure how to build a snow fort, he thought it was a great idea.
Andre: Let's put yours on top. It'll make our fort higher.
Narrator: Caillou wanted to show Andre he could help too.
Andre: Wow, careful. Just don't push so hard, try over there.
Caillou: Wow, yeah.
Andre: There, now we need snow balls.
Caillou: To throw at the bad guys, right?
Sarah: Caillou.
Caillou: Sarah, Hi.
Sarah: Hi, can I play too?
Andre: Yeah, you can be the bad guy.
Sarah: Hey, no fair. I wasn't ready.
Andre: Time out. We are out of snow balls.

Storyteller: One, two, boom!! (Lightening Flashed) Caillou was frightened; he’d never heard such a loud noise coming from outside before.
Caillou: Gilbert—there you are! Uh, ah!
It’s okay, Gilbert.  It’s just about a storm.
Storyteller: Poor Caillou was trying to reassure Gilbert but the flashes and thunders scared him too. And when Caillou was scared at night, he named his Mommy and Daddy.
Caillou: Come on. Gilbert, in here, wait. Daddy—Daddy---Daddy!
Daddy: It’s all right, Caillou. I’m coming! I’m coming! Caillou! Caillou? Where are you?
Caillou: In here.
Daddy: There you are. Why are you hiding in the closet?
Caillou: I don’t like storms, Daddy.
Daddy: Yes, I know. Hey, let’s go see if a mug of hot chocolate will make you feel better.
Caillou: OK.
Daddy: Thunders, storms make a lot of noise, don’t they?
Caillou: Ooh!
Daddy: It’s only the wind, Caillou. I’ll shut the window.
Storyteller: Caillou was glad his Daddy closed the curtains, but he was still feeling a little scared.
Daddy: Umm, delicious. How’s yours, Caillou?
Caillou: Ah! Daddy, make it go away!
Daddy: Let’s both try to make it go away.
Caillou: How?
Daddy: When I was a boy, storms scared me too. But grandma told me the counting game. Do you want me to show you how it works?
When the lightening flashes, we started to count, then when the thunder booms we stop. It will make it go away. Do you want to try?
Caillou and Daddy: One, two, three. Boom!
Daddy: Now next time we count, we will reach a higher number, and that means the storms moving away.
Caillou: It does? If I count could quickly, will they go away faster?
Storyteller: Now then Caillou and Daddy were playing the counting game, the storm wasn’t scary anymore.
Caillou:Will it go Boom again?
Daddy: Hahaha, yes, Caillou. It’ll Boom again.
Caillou: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, Boom! I counted to seven! Last time I only counted to five, it works, the storm is going away.
Daddy: You’re right. And now I think it’s time for bed, hop to it.
Caillou: Ok Daddy.
Storyteller: With the storm moving away and Gilbert by his thighs, Caillou felt safe and happy again.

Storyteller: With the storm moving away and Gilbert by his side, Caillou felt safe and happy again.

Caillou: Here is some water for Mr. Tree.

Caillou: Grandma, look!
Grandma: He's coming to use the birdbath .
Caillou: Why didn't he want to take a bath?
Grandma: I think I know why. There is no water.
Caillou: Can I put some water in? There is no water left.
Grandma: You can fill it up with the faucet over there.

Storyteller: Caillou was afraid he had broken the faucet and he didn't know what to do.
Caillou: Grandma, help!
Grandma: Oh, dear. I haven't gotten around to fixing that, It falls off all the time. There you go.
Storyteller: Caillou was to carry the water all by himself.
Caillou: Oh, No.
Caillou: Here birdie, birdie.
Grandma: Good work, Caillou. Now, how about we head inside for a snack and dry those feet off.
Caillou: I can't find the juice. Grandma.
Grandma: Oh,de r. Looks like we're out. Why don't we make our own juice?
Storyteller: Caillou was very curious, he had never made juice before.
Grandma: Grapefruits and lemons, pefect.
Caillou: They're cold.Can we use oranges too?
Grandma: Absolutely. First, I'll cut the fruit in half.
Caillou: One,two lemons.One,two oranges and one two grapefruits.
Grandma: Thank you, my assistant.
Caillou: It's easy to remember what color oranges are, because oranges are orange.
Grandma: That's right.
Caillou: Yummy, I like orange juice.
Caillou: Ewwww...
Grandma:Grapefruit juice isn't as sweet as orange juice, is it?
Caillou: No, now you're making lemonade. I love lemonade. Ewww...It dosen't taste very good.
Grandma: It's really sour, isn't it? It's not ready to drink until we put in the secret ingredient, then it'll be delicious. Here,why don't you try making some juice.
Storyteller: Caillou and grandma worked very hard, and squeezed juice out of all the fruits.
Caillou: I'm finished, Grandma.
Grandma: Good job, Caillou. Now, it's time for the final secret ingredient.
Caillou: What is it?
Grandma: Here, close your eyes, Can you guess what it is?
Storyteller: Caillou was very bet it would taste sour like the lemon juice did.
Caillou: It's sugar.
Grandma: That's right.We can make the sour juice sweet by adding just a little sugar. Do you want to put it in? Now give it a stir.
Mommy: Hello, I'm back.
Caillou: Surprise. I made juice with Grandma. Want some?
Mommy: Yes,please.
Grandma: Caillou was a big help in the garden. He waterd all my flowers and filled the bird-bath.
Mommy: You've certainly been busy. This tastes great.
Caillou: It's made with orange juice,grapefruit juice,lemon juice and a secret ingredient---sugar!
Close your eyes, I have another surprise.Ok, you can look now.
