77. Caillou's Top Bunk 77认领)
Storyteller: Caillou and Rosie were really excited about spending the weekend at grandma and grandpa’s.
Rosie: Rosie, do it.
Caillou: You are too little, Rosie.
Grandma: There you are.
Caillou: Grandma, I’m staying at your house tonight.
Rosie: Grandma.
Mommy: Bye, Caillou. Bye, Rosie.
Grandma: But Caillou, wait.
Caillou: Where’s my bed?
Grandma: This is my s
ewing room now, Caillou. You and your sister will be sharing a room.
Caillou: I don’t want to share a room with Rosie.
Grandma: Are you sure, Caillou? I think you’ll change your mind when you see grandpa’s surprise.
Caillou: Ah, a surprise?
Grandma: It’s right in here.
Caillou: Wow, yeah.
Grandpa: Surprise, Caillou, bunk beds.
Caillou: I want the top bunk.
Rosie: I want it.
Caillou: No, Rosie. I get to sleep on the top.
Rosie: Rosie, too.
Grandpa: You see, Rosie. It’s too high for you.
Grandma: You have to
be a little bigger to sleep in the top bunk, Rosie. You’ll be happier in the lower one.
Grandma: Time for bed.
Caillou: Ah? But we’re playing in our fort.
Grandma: You can play fort again tomorrow.
Grandma: Do you need some help getting up to bed, Caillou?
Caillou: No. I can do it by myself.
Caillou: Ah, It was easy.
Grandma: Goodnight, Caillou. Go right to sleep now.
Caillou: Okay, Grandma. Goodnight.
Storyteer: Caillou was so excited about being on the top bunk
that he had a hard time sleeping. Things looked very different from up there. The floor looked awfully far away.

Caillou: Rosie? You
awake? Don’t worry Teddy. Oh, no.
Rosie: Teddy?
Caillou: Rosie, help me get Teddy.
Rosie: Okay.
Storyteller: Rosie was too scared to climb the ladder. The top bunk seemed very high up.
Caillou: It’s okay, Rosie. I’ll come down.
Storyteller: Caillou wasn’t so sure he wanted to climb all the way the ladder again.

Grandma: Good morning.
Grandpa: So you didn’t sleep up topbunk after all, Caillou.
Caillou: No. Teddy was too scared.  So we stayed down here.

合集第55集听译稿

230. Caillou's Valentines
Storyteller:
One fine morning Mommy made Caillou and Rosie an extra-special breakfast!
Mommy:
Here you go! Enjoy!
Caillou:
Thanks, Mommy! Look, Rosie! Hearts!!
Daddy:
That's right, Caillou. It's a very special day today!
Mommy:
Oh, thank you! They're beautiful!
Caillou:
Is it your birthday, Mommy?
Mommy:
No, Caillou. It's Valentine's Day!
Storyteller:
Caillou remembered Valentine's Day. He had gone to a Valentine's party last year at Leo's.
Daddy:
It's the day when people tell others how much they care about them.
Caillou:
But, you tell Mommy that all the time.
Daddy:
Yes, but sometimes it's nice to show it too, with flowers or a card.
Mommy:
We have something for you and Rosie too. Happy Valentine's Day! Now you each have your very own Valentine.
Caillou:
Thanks, Mommy!
Daddy:
Thank you.
Rosie:
Oh! Sticky!
Storyteller:
Caillou liked his stickers very much, but he was curious about the little boy with the arrow.
Caillou:
Who's this, Daddy?
Daddy:
That's Cupid. It's his job to fly around delivering love to people using his bow and arrow.
Rosie:
Cupid?
Caillou:
Rosie!
Mommy:
Perhaps we'd better put away the stickers for now, and finish our breakfast.
Daddy:
Good idea! And Caillou, you don't want to be late for playschool. I hear Miss Martin has a special Valentine's Day planned.
Caillou:
She does? Oh, boy!
Miss Martin:
Can anyone tell me what today is? Yes, Caillou?
Caillou:
It's Valentine's Day!
Miss Martin:
That's right, and today we're going to make special Valentine's cards for all our playschool friends. You'll each get to decorate some cards, so you can give one to each of your playmates. When we're all done, we'll deliver them to these mailboxes, and then everyone can take theirs home with them.
Storyteller:
Caillou was having a lot of fun making Valentine cards. He wished every day could be Valentine's Day.
Caillou:
Mine is for my very best friend.
Leo:
Hey, mine too!
Caillou:
Nice picture, Leo!
Storyteller:
Suddenly, Caillou's Valentine didn't seem quite so special anymore.
Leo:
And I really like yours too.
Caillou:
Thanks!
Storyteller:
Knowing Leo liked the Valentine, made Caillou feel much better, especially since the Valentine was for him.
Miss Martin:
Wonderful. When you're all finished we can start delivering them.
Leo:
I'm done!
Caillou:
Me too!
Miss Martin:
One for Emma! Now Leo's mailbox, and you're done! Good job! It's your turn, Caillou. Do you need any help?
Caillou:
No thanks, Miss Martin. I can do it myself. Happy Valentine's Day, Clementine! A big heart for you, Emma! Now, for my very best friend, Leo! Oh no!
Storyteller:
Leo's was the very last mailbox, and Caillou had run out of cards. He couldn't find the card he'd made for Leo anywhere.
Miss Martin:
Is something the matter, Caillou?
Caillou:
I can't find Leo's Valentine. I think I lost it.
Miss Martin:
Oh dear. Tell you what, why don't we have our snack now, and while the class is eating, you can have a look for it?
Caillou:
But what if I can't find it? Leo is my best friend, I have to give him a Valentine.
Miss Martin:
We could always make him another one.
Caillou:
Yeah! Can you help me, Miss Martin?
Miss Martin:
Of course I can. Let me get the class seated for their snack, and we'll work together on it.
Storyteller:
Miss Martin had special Valentine's cookies for everyone, but Caillou was too busy to eat.
Miss Martin:
That's beautiful, Caillou!
Caillou:
Thanks. But I still want to add something else.
Miss Martin:
Sure. I can help you with that. "L" for Leo! I'm sure he'll love it.
Caillou:
Open yours, Leo! That one's from me! Do you like it?
Leo:
Yeah! "L" for Leo! Thanks Caillou!
Caillou:
Happy Valentine's Day, Leo!
Leo:
Happy Valentine's Day, Caillou!

231. Hello Spring
Storyteller:
Winter was almost over. Spring was on its way, and the snow was melting. Caillou's snowman was starting to melt too. Caillou decided to fix him up again.
Caillou:
You look much better now, Mr. Snowman.
Mommy:
Caillou, it's lunchtime.
Caillou:
Coming. I'll be back after lunch.
Storyteller:
After lunch Caillou was ready to play in the snow some more, but there was a big surprise waiting for him.
Caillou:
Oh no!
Storyteller:
Caillou was sad about all the snow melting. He really liked playing in it.
Caillou:
Oh no! Hmm...
Mommy:
Hello sweetheart! What's wrong?
Caillou:
My snowman melted. The snow is almost all gone.
Mommy:
That's too bad, honey. But you know what that means. Spring is coming!
Caillou:
I don't like spring. I like winter.
Mommy:
Oh, but there are lots of nice things about springtime. The weather is warmer, the days are longer, the flowers start coming up.
Rosie:
Pretty flowers!
Mommy:
Why don't you take off your coat, honey? I'm putting away all our winter clothes. We won't be needing them again until next winter.
Storyteller:
But Caillou didn't want to put his coat away. He didn't want winter to be over.
Caillou:
No. I'm gonna play in the snow some more.
Mommy:
Thanks, sweetie.
Storyteller:
The sunshine was nice and warm. It felt good.
Daddy:
What's up, sport?
Caillou:
My snowman melted. All the snow is melting.
Daddy:
That's what happens when spring-time comes.
Caillou:
I don't want spring to come. I want it to be winter all year.
Daddy:
Oh, spring's not so bad. Can you give me a hand and hold the bag?
Caillou:
Sure! The leaves are yucky.
Daddy:
Yup. That's why I'm cleaning the place up, so it looks nice. And in a few weeks we can plant flowers.
Caillou:
Can we plant the vegetable garden too?
Daddy:
You bet.
Storyteller:
Caillou remembered how much fun it was to plant the garden last year. He was looking forward to doing it again.
Caillou:
Are you putting them in the garbage?
Daddy:
This isn't a garbage can, it's a composter. We put old leaves and plants and bits of food in here, and after a while it turns into nice dirt we can put in the garden to help the plants grow.
Storyteller:
Caillou was very surprised. He thought the leaves turning into dirt was just like magic.
Daddy:
Now that I'm all done, why don't you and I go for a walk? We could go to the park.
Caillou:
Yeah!
Daddy:
Only let's get you a lighter jacket. You don't need your big winter coat anymore.
Storyteller:
So Caillou put on his spring jacket and he went with Daddy to the park. It felt good to not have to wear his big winter coat and his mittens and his big scarf anymore.
Daddy:
Look!
Caillou:
That's a robin!
Daddy:
Right! I didn't know you were a bird expert.
Caillou:
Robins have red tummies. We learned that in playschool. He's looking for worms to eat.
Daddy:
Worms? Mmmm, yummy!
Caillou:
Daddy!
Daddy:
Canada Geese!
Caillou:
Miss Martin says that all the birds that went away for the winter come back again in the spring.
Daddy:
That's right. And the animals that sleep through the winter wake up.
Caillou:
Like bears!
Daddy:
You bet.
Storyteller:
Caillou was glad the birds were coming back and the animals were waking up.
Caillou:
The snow's gone from the sandbox. Whee!
Storyteller:
Caillou liked playing in the sandbox. He started thinking of all the other things he could do now that the snow was gone.
Caillou:
Whee! Whoa! My bike! Whee!
Leo:
Hi, Caillou! Come on in!
Caillou:
Yahoo! Yahoo! Summer comes right after spring, right, Daddy?
Daddy:
Yup. Summer, then fall, and after that it'll be winter again.
Caillou:
I like spring.
Daddy:
Me too.
Storyteller:
When they arrived back home, there was another spring surprise waiting for Caillou. Caillou remembered how much Rosie and Mommy liked pretty flowers.
Caillou:
Mommy! Rosie! Come quick! Look! Flowers!
Rosie:
Flowers!
Mommy:
Aren't they pretty? Those are called crocuses. They're the first flowers of spring.
Daddy:
Good work, Caillou!
Storyteller:
Caillou was very proud to have spotted the first flowers of spring.
Caillou:
I'm glad spring is here! Now I can ride my bike, and play soccer, and play in the sandbox, and go on the slide and the swings, and play baseball, and go swimming...

[Song]It's Spring
It's Spring, it's Spring.
We're really glad it's spring.
The flowers grow, there's no more snow.
We're really glad it's spring.
It's Spring, it's Spring.
It's time to laugh and sing.
Let go outside,
Caillou:
I'll run , you hide.
All:
We're really glad it's spring.
There's fun things we can do.
A treasure hunt, a barbeque.
Clementine:
Fly a kite.
Sarah:
Go to the zoo.
All:
We're really glad it's spring.
It's Spring, it's Spring,
Caillou:
I'll push you on the swing.
All:
The leaves turn green, it's time to clean.
We're really glad it's spring.
Each season has something to do.
Each season has something's that's new.
We like Spring.
How bout you?
We're really glad it's spring.
Hiking, biking, playing ball.
Young or old, big or small.
Sarah:
I like summer.
Clementine:
I like fall.
All:
But we like spring the best of all.
It's Spring, it's Spring.
Finally it's spring.
Here comes the sun.
Let's have some fun.
We're really glad it's...
It's spring!

232. Caillou's April Fool
Storyteller:
One morning at breakfast Daddy did something funny.
Caillou:
Daddy, what are you doing?
Daddy:
I'm playing a little joke on Mommy. Shhh!
Rosie:
Shhh!
Mommy:
Good morning, everyone.
Caillou & Rosie & Daddy:
Good morning!
Mommy:
Thanks. Oh my goodness! It's nine o'clock already? I was sure it was eight. That is strange.
Daddy:
April Fool's!
Caillou:
Daddy changed the clocks!
Daddy:
It's only 8 o'clock, not 9.
Mommy:
That was a good April Fool's joke. You really had me going.
Caillou:
Mommy, what is April Fool's?
Mommy:
Today is April Fool's Day. It's a special day when you play funny jokes and tricks on people, as long as they are in good fun and don't hurt anybody's feelings.
Caillou:
Can I play jokes too?
Mommy:
Of course you can. But that also means that someone can play a joke on you.
Daddy:
Well, I'd better get started planting the spring bulbs.
Caillou:
What are spring bulbs?
Daddy:
They're big flower seeds that will only grow in the spring time, so in about a month we'll have beautiful flowers in our yard.
Mommy:
I'm gonna get you back.
Daddy:
You can always try.
Storyteller:
Caillou wanted to play an April Fool's trick on Rosie, but he didn't know what kind of a joke would make her smile. Then Caillou had a great idea, something he was sure would make Rosie laugh.
Caillou:
Rosie will be so surprised! Quick Gilbert, we have to hide. April Fool's, Rosie!
Rosie:
Dolly wrong.
Caillou:
Yeah, I dressed your dolly. It's a joke.
Rosie:
Caillou play dolly?
Caillou:
Okay. I'll play dolly with you.
Storyteller:
Caillou was disappointed that Rosie didn't laugh at his trick.
Mommy:
Caillou. There's a phone call for you.
Caillou:
Coming! Hello?
Mommy:
Roar! Who is it, Caillou?
Caillou:
I, I don't know. It sounds like a dinosaur.
Mommy:
April Fool! Roar!
Caillou:
That was a good joke, Mommy!
Mommy:
Now it's your turn to play a joke on me.
Caillou:
Okay!
Storyteller:
Caillou wanted to think up a really good joke to play on Mommy.
Mommy:
Yikes!
Caillou:
April Fool's!
Storyteller:
Then Caillou had an even better idea for tricking Mommy.
Mommy:
That's strange. I know my slippers are around here somewhere. Oh! How about carrots? There you go! You're all set.
Caillou:
April Fool's!
Daddy:
Hi, Caillou. What are you up to?
Caillou:
I'm playing a joke on Mommy, don't tell her, okay?
Daddy:
I won't, I promise.
Caillou:
No! Gilbert! Don't!
Mommy:
Oh, Caillou, You found my slippers, thank you. I've been looking all over for them.
Daddy:
Nice try, Caillou. Hey! Every other page in this newspaper is upside down!
Mommy:
April Fool's!
Daddy:
You got me!
Storyteller:
Caillou was determined to play a good joke on someone today. Then he had a very good idea.
Caillou:
Roar!
Mommy:
Oh my.
Caillou:
April Fool's! Did I trick you?
Mommy:
You sure did! For a moment there I thought a real dinosaur was in our fridge.
Caillou:
That's silly! Now I want to trick Daddy. Can you help me, Mommy?
Mommy:
Sure, I'll help you. What do you have in mind?
Caillou:
Daddy! Daddy! Come quick! Your flowers have already grown big! You didn't have to wait!
Daddy:
Wow! Those must have been magic bulbs!
Caillou:
April Fool's!
Daddy:
Hey! Those aren't real flowers, they're plastic. Caillou, you tricked me!
Caillou:
Yeah, and I tricked Gilbert too. April Fool's, Gilbert!

227. Caillou the Patient
Storyteller:
It was a beautiful day and Caillou, Mommy and Rosie were going to the park. Caillou was trying to decide which toy to take.
Caillou:
I'm gonna take my airplane. Let's go!
Mommy:
Wait for us!
Caillou:
Look at me, Mommy! My plane can fly really fast. I'm the fastest jet pilot in the whole wide world..
Radio:
Caillou, you're flying faster than anyone ever has before.
Caillou:
Yahoo!
Mommy:
Slow down, Caillou. You don't have your running shoes on. Oh, Caillou! Are you all right?
Storyteller:
Caillou had scraped his knees, and they really really hurt.
Rosie:
Caillou fall down.
Caillou:
Ow! It hurts, Mommy! Ow! Ow!
Rosie:
Booboo.
Mommy:
Oh, poor Caillou. You'll be okay. Let's get you home so I can fix you up. You are my first patient today. I see you've had quite a tumble, so first I'll have to examine the wound and check for broken bones.
Storyteller:
Caillou thought it was funny that Mommy was pretending to be a doctor.
Mommy:
Good! First we need to clean you up a bit. We'll have you back up in your plane in no time.
Caillou:
Ouch!
Mommy:
Oh, it'll just take a second.
Storyteller:
Caillou tried to be brave, just like a real jet pilot would be.
Mommy:
I know what my patient needs now. Nurse Rosie, could you please get me a cotton swab from that tin?
Rosie:
Nurse Rosie!
Mommy:
This will keep the wound clean so it will heal quickly. Now we need something else. Do you know what that is, Nurse Rosie?
Rosie:
Bandage!
Mommy:
Ah-ha! Exactly! Now how about a tall glass of special 'get better' juice?
Caillou:
Ouchy!
Mommy:
That's going to be a little sore for a while. How about I give you a plane ride?
Rosie:
Rosie too!
Mommy:
Rosie, you can be my co-pilot. You go ahead and show me the way. There you go, I gave you a window seat in your very own airplane.
Storyteller:
Caillou's knees still hurt a little, but he really liked his new bandages.
Rosie:
Caillou booboo airplane.
Mommy:
Well, you must be a very special passenger on this flight. Only special passengers get a cookie.
Caillou:
Thank you.
Storyteller:
Caillou thought his knees felt a little better. He wanted to see if they would hurt when he walked.
Clementine:
Try to catch me! Billy!
Caillou:
Leo! There's Clementine and Billy! And I saw Leo too! I think they're going to the park.
Mommy:
Are my patient's knees working all right? Why don't you try a couple of steps around the living room? Oops, I mean the airplane.
Storyteller:
Caillou thought his knees felt much better now.
Rosie:
Rosie made better.
Caillou:
I'm pilot Caillou and we're taking off on a flight to the park.
Mommy:
Well, your landing gear seems to be in fine working order. Let me check with my co-pilot. Rosie, can we land at the park?
Rosie:
Park!
Mommy:
The park it is, and I've got just the thing that a pilot and co-pilot need for a successful flight to the park.
Caillou:
Look, Mommy, I'm a good pilot.
Mommy:
Yes, that's why you've got your wings badge. And what do all good pilots wear when they want to run?
Caillou:
Running shoes!
Mommy:
Right!
Caillou:
Clementine! Leo!
Clementine:
Caillou! What happened to your plane?
Caillou:
I had a crash landing! See?
Clementine & Leo:
Oh...
Caillou:
And when I got all better Mommy gave me my pilot's wings.
Leo:
Cool.
Clementine:
You sure are brave, Caillou. Does it still hurt?
Caillou:
It did at first, but not anymore.
Rosie:
Rosie co-pilot.
Leo:
I can fly the fastest. Try to catch me. Whoa! Ooof!
Clementine:
Are you all right, Leo?
Leo:
Yup.
Caillou:
I'm gonna be the doctor. First I have to examine the wound. That's your booboo. Next we have to clean the wound. All clean. Now let's see if everything works. You're all better!
Leo:
Thanks, Doctor Caillou!
Caillou:
Is everyone ready for take-off?
Rosie & Leo & Clementine:
Yeah!
Caillou:
Start your engines!

228. Caillou the Police Officer
Storyteller:
One day Caillou and Mommy were on their way to playschool, and Caillou was helping Mommy drive.
Caillou:
That means turn, Mommy.
Mommy:
Thank you, Caillou.
Caillou:
Red light, Mommy. That means stop.
Mommy:
Right you are, Caillou.
Caillou:
Green means go. The lights aren't on.
Mommy:
They must be broken. And those workers are going to fix them.
Caillou:
What's the policeman doing?
Mommy:
He's showing the cars when to stop and when to go, since the lights can't do it.
Caillou:
Now they have to stop. And we can go.
Miss Martin:
Don't you wanna play with the others, Caillou?
Caillou:
Uh-huh. I'm watching the policeman directing traffic.
Miss Martin:
Oh, I see.
Caillou:
I thought policemen just caught bad guys.
Miss Martin:
Oh no, they help people in lots of other ways.
Caillou:
Really?
Miss Martin:
Oh yes. They make sure that people drive their cars safely so no one gets hurt. They can help drivers who are lost find where they're going. And if any children are lost they can help them find their way home again.
Caillou:
Wow!
Storyteller:
Caillou decided he'd like to help people like police officers do.
Caillou:
This looks like a job for Police Officer Caillou! Don't cry. Did you lose your Mommy and Daddy? Well, don't worry, we'll find them. Over here! All in a day's work!
Radio:
Officer Caillou! We need you at Main Street and Tenth!
Caillou:
I'm on my way.
Storyteller:
Caillou wanted to help people, but he especially wanted to direct traffic. And he knew just what he needed for that.
Caillou:
Perfect!
Leo:
Hey!
Caillou:
I'm Officer Caillou and you have to stop.
Clementine:
We were playing!
Leo:
Try to catch me!
Clementine:
Caillou!
Caillou:
Hmm. They were supposed to stop.
Miss Martin:
They were playing a game before you came along. You know, you can only help people when they want some help. And that whistle is very loud. You must be more careful and not blow it in anybody's ear or it could hurt them.
Caillou:
Okay. Why are you chasing Leo?
Clementine:
He's a bad guy. He just robbed the bank!
Caillou:
A bad guy! Well, I'm a policeman! Gotcha!
Leo:
Oh no!
Clementine:
Now he's gonna put you in jail.
Caillou:
Yeah. Come on, bank robber!
Leo:
How long do I have to stay in here?
Clementine:
A hundred years!
Miss Martin:
Children!
Caillou:
Okay, you can come out if you promise you won't do it again.
Leo:
I promise!
Storyteller:
That afternoon Caillou helped clean up after snacktime.
Miss Martin:
Since it's such a nice day, why don't we have storytime outside?
Kids:
Yeah! All right!
Storyteller:
The workers had finished fixing the traffic lights. Caillou wondered where the policeman was. The Police Officer looked very hot. Caillou thought he might be thirsty.
Miss Martin:
Caillou?
Caillou:
Miss Martin, can I give some juice to the policeman?
Miss Martin:
That's a very good idea, Caillou. Go ahead.
Caillou:
Hello. Would you like some juice?
Policeman:
Hello there! Yes please. It sure is hot out here! Thank you!
Caillou:
Why did you give that car a ticket?
Policeman:
Because it's not supposed to be here. It's blocking the fire hydrant, and if there was a fire, the firefighters wouldn't be able to hook up their hoses.
Caillou:
That's another way you help people. Where's your police car?
Policeman:
I don't have one. I have this!
Caillou:
A bike? You ride a bike just like I do!
Policeman:
That's right. Thanks for the drink, uh...
Caillou:
My name is Caillou.
Policeman:
Well, thank you very much Caillou. It was very nice to meet you. But now I think you'd better join your friends. Looks like you're missing out on a story.
Caillou:
Oops. I gotta go. Bye!
Storyteller:
Caillou was glad he'd made a new friend. And he couldn't wait to go home and tell Mommy and Daddy that he had helped a police officer!

[Song]A helping hand
Grandpa:
Caillou, there are people who help us every day.
Like doctors, police officers, fire fighters, and teachers.
But you know what?
We can also help each other.
If someone has a problem and things aren't so grand.
Just reach out, do the best you can.
Give them a helping hand.
Just give them a hand, give them a hand.
Give them a helping hand.
Give them a hand, give them a hand.
Give them a helping hand.
It's neighbours helping neighbours.
Caillou:
A friend helping a friend.
Grandpa:
You help me.
Caillou:
And I'll help you.
Both:
Then we both win in the end.
Just give them a hand, give them a hand.
Give them a helping hand.
Give them a hand, give them a hand.
Give them a helping hand.
Grandpa:
Caillou, I've got to move this box. Can you help me?
Caillou:
Sure, Grandpa, I'll give you a hand.

229. Grandpa's Friend
Storyteller:
Caillou was waiting for his Grandpa to arrive. They were going to the park today.
Caillou:
Grandpa!
Storyteller:
Caillou and Grandpa decided to ride the bus to the park.
Caillou:
Don't you have to pay, Grandpa?
Grandpa:
Nope! I have a bus pass to ride free, just like you!
Storyteller:
Caillou loved riding the bus. It was so big, and there were new people getting on or off at every stop. Caillou had never seen this park before. He couldn't see any swings or slides. He wondered what they could play in a park like this.
George:
Hey, kid!
Caillou:
My name's Caillou.
Grandpa:
This is my friend George. He calls me "kid" because he's older than I am.
George:
I met your grandpa many, many years ago, in this very park. He was only about this tall back then.
Caillou:
Even Rosie is bigger than that!
George:
Come on. I just finished setting up.
Grandpa:
I hope you like riddles, Caillou.
Caillou:
What are these for?
Grandpa:
We're going to play croquet. You and I could be a team.
Storyteller:
Caillou didn't know how to play croquet, and he was too embarrassed to ask. He felt a little shy around Grandpa's friend George.
George:
Hey Caillou! Do you like riddles?
Grandpa:
Ho, ho, ho. Here we go.
George:
What animal can jump higher than a house? Any animal! Houses can't jump!
Caillou:
I know a riddle. What kind of fish chases a mouse? A catfish!
George:
Oh! That's a good one! Would you like an apple, Caillou?
Caillou:
This is Rexy! He's a dinosaur.
Storyteller:
Caillou didn't feel so shy after all. He thought Grandpa's friend was a lot like his friends, only older. After lunch they began their game of croquet. Grandpa showed Caillou what to do.
Grandpa:
Just aim the mallet and tap the ball.
Storyteller:
Caillou wondered how far he could hit the ball if he swung really really hard.
Caillou:
Yeah!
Grandpa:
Just tap it! We don't wanna send it all the way to Timbuktu!
Caillou:
I missed!
George:
That's okay, you can do it over. Special beginner's rule. That's pretty good, Caillou. You're a natural.
Grandpa:
I think there's something wrong with your ball.
George:
I think so too. Hey, this isn't my ball!
Caillou:
It's an apple!
George:
You're just like your Grandpa. He was always playing tricks on me when he was little.
Storyteller:
Caillou loved the idea that he and Grandpa were alike. But he still couldn't imagine Grandpa as a little boy.
George:
Still, I did tap your ball. My play. There it goes kid, right into the pond again.
Caillou:
We lost our ball!
Grandpa:
That's okay, we can get it back. Come on.
Caillou:
Why did George say it fell in the pond again?
Grandpa:
He was talking about the first time we ever played croquet together. Boy, that takes me back. It was right here, in this park. I must have been about ten years old and about this tall. I knocked my ball too hard and it bounced all the way into the pond.
Caillou:
Just like our ball, Grandpa!
Grandpa:
Yep! And when I tried to get it back, I lost my balance and fell in the pond.
Caillou:
Maybe you wanted to go swimming, but you just didn't know it.
Grandpa:
I never thought of that. Maybe I did.
Storyteller:
George said Caillou was just like his Grandpa, but now Caillou thought Grandpa was just like him too.
Caillou:
Yeah! That means we can keep playing.
Grandpa:
That's right, Caillou.
Caillou:
We found our ball!
George:
The kid didn't fall in again, did he?
Grandpa:
All you have to do to win is knock the ball through the last hoop and try to hit that wooden pin.
George:
Very impressive, Caillou. Are you sure you've never played croquet before?
Caillou:
Nope.
George:
I won! That was a close game. I thought for sure you'd beat me, Caillou.
Caillou:
I like croquet! It's fun!
Storyteller:
Soon it was time to go back home.

76. Caillou to the Rescue

http://bbs.etjy.com/viewthread.p ... age%3D1&page=19
273楼

感谢77听初稿,echo认真核对,听得超棒,真的辛苦你们了。做书的时候发现有几处和你们不一样的,仅供参考:

1.Storyteller: Caillou was amazed at how high the fire truck ladder could go, up and up and up! He can never climb as high as Stacy could.--没有this吧

2.Eric: I have a better idea. Why don’t you come to the fire station for a tour if that‘s okay with your daddy?--不是for, 说的是with

3.Eric: This is where we keep our coats and boots. It’s important to have them ready, so we can move quickly in an emergency. --没有and

4.Daddy: Ha-ha, maybe you are not quite big enough to fill a fire fighter’s boots. --拼写问题

5.Eric: It’s also very important to keep the truck in tiptop shape by all times. --多个the很别扭

6.Eric: Ha-ha, I see Sparkie has given you the official fire station welcome. --Sparkie是拼写问题

7.Eric: When we’re upstairs and the alarm goes off. We just slide down this pole and presto, we're ready for the action.--应该是单数吧

8.Eric: Oh, you’ll get used to it. When I first started, I found it a bit scary. But you know with a little practice, it doesn’t bother me anymore.--founded的意思。。。。。。。
