外教科学课该怎么上？

今天下课后，Ruda老师特意给我写来了这个．
老头子年幼时是在美军驻日本基地长大的，对文化差异以及不同的文化理解有着亲身体验，对他老人家写的这些，我想我是可以理解他的意思的．

We had a good class today, but at the closing, the kids said another teacher was telling them about God and asking me about that.  I think this person doesn't know much about China and needs to be told to keep his religous beliefs to himself.  I will be happy to communicate this to him if you like because I feel we are not here to change your cultural, political, or religious beliefs.  Let me know if I can help.  Dave

等我儿子放假后，让他决定是否上这个课。

现在这个课有实验和课外的动手作业吗？

很遗憾，没有动手作业！
在刚开课的时候有动手作业布置，让孩子们分种子记录概率，还有种些植物放在不同的地方要求观察生长情况的不同．．．．．．
但每次回课我都听到很有创意的借口，之后就没见到Mr.Ruda再布置这些作业了．


过些日子看我们能不能请到一位很厉害的科学老师．
这位老太太的科学课是得过奖上过论坛演讲的，而且与美国航天局有联系．
她说如果孩子们没有时间在家做实验，那她可以通过视频做实验给孩子们看．

看咱们的福气够不够吧！

On 6/20, I want to check the homework, TTW on p 239, the Eat-Up project, then review Science Readings pp14-15 and review p20.  Going onward in Science Ch 6, Objects in Motion pp256-275, Reading and discussing everything and doing for homework 265 ttw,  266-267 measuring, and TTW p273 on to 275, according to how much we are able to accomplish.  

I feel we are making significant progress in learning and speaking English with this methodology and the kids are picking up useful knowledge and skills along the way.  Plus, they seem to enjoy the experience; but, you are there, what do you think?

哇噻，我们只能是看着眼红，干着急没办法。

Anna上了新老师的科学试讲课，感觉不错，说说是半小时的，却上了1小时。老师讲得很仔细，但因为她科学课（中文）已经学过植物的花这章，故觉得挺简单的，没新意，就是新学了些单词。但她说美国老师讲花的雄蕊和雌蕊讲得比她自己的科学老师要详细，列举的花要多。我在一旁听了一些，虽说孩子自己说简单，但回答问题还是仅限于很简单的单词，好像G1课上的回答要好很多，能说比较长的句子了。

这是上周日一位新科学老师的试讲课：Flower Parts.

老师不仅准备了PPT课件，还准备了教具，有镜头前给孩子们展示花的构造部分。
