外教科学课该怎么上？

呵呵，和你不同的是，我希望孩子学这门课的时候淡化语言的限制，出点语法错误什么的都木有关系，只要她能对科学知识和动手做实验感兴趣，愿意自己去探究未知就好。

其实在我来看, 比较现实的态度还是要以语言课为本.

目前的环境还不能把这当作一个真正的科学课来上.
家长们雄心万丈, 科学实验, 动手能力, 批判性思维什么都想要, 但现实是, 老师布置的作业, 连给孩子提供一点支持让孩完成作业都做不到.

象这样子, 科学课也就是一个以科学为主题的聊天课, 可以积累科学上的语汇, 但学习科学知识只是顺带的.

何况, 有些孩子的英语能力还不到用这种语言去学知识的阶段.

I'd like to review the homework for last week, Ch 4, Lesson 1, "Think, Talk & Write
" and write a report on favorite dinosaur. Next, I'd like to read the rest of Ch 4, lessons 2 , 3, and Review on pp. 206-209. Homework will be Think, Talk, Writes on p.189 and 197, plus whatever we don't get done in the Ch 4 Review pp. 206-209. Thanks, Dave

I plan to review homework pages189 & 197 in Ch 4 then begin Ch 5, 210-213 and begin Lesson 1 on 214. We will read 216-221 and assign Think, Talk , Write on 221 for homework. I will skip p222 because most kids don't have pets like those mentioned. Next we discuss p 223, read 224, discuss and explore 225, read together 226-229 and assign Think, Talk, Write on 229 for homework. Depending on time remaining, we'll talk about trying the experiment at home, noting Q & A on 231, then read and discuss 232 -233. Thanks, Dave

越看越觉得Helen会喜欢这个课，可惜听读写的能力都差太多。
不知道到了高中能上不。。。

这个科学课是用的treasury几年级的教材啊？我也一直希望让Charlene小朋友上上科学课，可是最近安排的课程太多了，又快期末考试了。如果科学课在暑假能开课就太好了

其实，孩子天生是科学家，只不过，被我们成人的功利给束缚住了。尤其国人，没有过工程训练的人，很多对科学的认识本身就和老美不一样。

我的理解是：真正有害的，不是人们不知道的那些，而是人们自以为知道而实际上不是那么回事的那些。

I plan to check the Ch 5 homework on 221 & 229, Think, Talk, Write, and say a few things about the cream exsperiment with the jar. Next, I want to go on to CH 5, Lesson 3, pp 234- 254 with Homework TTW on p239, reading and discussing Sun Power, the Eat Up project and test practice. If time permits, we'll review the Readings: Rocks and Soils Around Us. Thanks for your help. Dave
