Daddy: why don’t we go and exploring while mom puts down Rosie down for her nap.
Caillou: yeah,
Storyteller: Caillou was so excited about exploring the train that he had a hard time keeping quiet.
Daddy: it’s kind of hard walking in the train, isn’t it?
Storyteller: Caillou thought walking on the train was like being on a ride at the amusement park.
Caillou: where’s the bathroom?
Daddy: I’m not sure. But it can’t be far.
Caillou: can we find one now?
Storyteller: Caillou had never seen such a small bathroom before. He wasn’t sure how anyything worked.
Daddy: are you okay in there?
Caillou: I don’t know how it works daddy.
Daddy: hay, it’s just your sides. Here you press the button on the wall to flush and don’t forget wash your hands.
Storyteller: Caillou thought it was funny to be in such a small bathroom. It was much smaller than the one at home.
Caillou: hi,
Conductor: oh, hello there. And what’s your name?
Caillou: Caillou.
Conductor: what do you think of my kitchen?
Caillou: we have a kitchen too. But it is much bigger than yours.
Conductor: well, maybe it is. But does your kitchen travel to far away places?
Daddy: no, can’t say that it does. Could you tell us where the restaurant is?
Caillou: there is a restaurant too?
Stanly: hi, Caillou. Boy that looks good. So, have you been on the grand tour?
Daddy: let’s see, the bathroom, the kitchen and now the restaurant. I’ll call that a grand tour.
Stanly: you mean you haven’t been to the doog cart yet? That’s the best part.
Storyteller: Caillou was having so many wonderful new adventures that he couldn’t imagine what could be better than his trip old branny sundae.
Caillou: what’s a dong cart?
Stanly: ah-oh, the dong cart is a wonderful place. You climb up on this stairs and suddenly it’s like your fly in a plane.
Caillou: a plane on the train?
Daddy: next stop the dong cart.
Stanly: Wow, slow down Caillou. You wouldn’t want to get a stomachache and that will not be able go flying, would you?
Daddy: go on up it Caillou.
Storyteller: Caillou really wondered how a plane could sit on the train.
Caillou: how do we fly on the train, daddy?
Daddy: Stanly was comparing the plane because we’re above the ground and the train goes fast. Come on, you’ll see. Wow, Caillou. This is beautiful. Now do you see why Stanly says this is like being on a plane?
Caillou: flew, flew, flew.
Storyteller: Caillou pretended he was flying his very own plane. He loved watching the passing clouds at the glass of roof.
Mommy: come on, Caillou. It’s time for bed.
Caillou: I don’t want to go to bed.
Storyteller: Caillou loved being on the train so much. That he wasn’t quit ready for bed yet.
Daddy: come in
Caillou: Stanly, mommy says it’s bed time, but the beds aren’t here yet.
Stanly: really? That’s strange. Is it dark outside?
Stanly: did you brush your teeth? Well then, I think it’s time the magic words. Do you remember what we have to do Caillou?
Caillou: say “sleep” three times and clap my hands.
Rosie: sleep, sleep.
Caillou: Rosie, wait. I’m not ready.
Stanly: now you and Rosie have to shut your eyes real tight, okay? Are you ready? Now, don’t peek. Okay, Caillou now slowly say the three magic words.
Caillou: sleep, sleep, sleep.
Stanly: okay, Caillou. You can look now.
Caillou: wow.
Stanly: good night. Sweet dreams.
Caillou: good night, Stanly.
Storyteller: Caillou was gently rocked to sleep by the sounds of the train roughly through the night. |
