Dear "L",
Oh. But this time I don't understand your letter very much. Anyway, "zhao xx" sounds horrible. And, um, I guess the amount of our homework is still increasing. For this holiday, our math teacher (whom we now call "B老大" although her true name is "BPF") gave us three test papers on fractions, and our Chinese teacher did the same. That's six test papers in total!!!!!!!
Your town sounds COOL! It just snowed a little in our town, but it is melting, and I don't think it would snow again for a very long time. If only I could go to your place!
And about the sworn enemy stuff. I'll continue the story and I'll tell you some history background about me and Anna, one of those four nasty creatures. You see, having friends in school is one thing, but sticking together like chewing gum for all of the time is a whole different can of worms. However, Anna, Maggie, Lucy, and Xu Ling do stick together. And just as I predicted, that led to trouble.
One Friday afternoon, when the whole school's cleaning and tidying their classrooms, the four of them snuck away, thinking that they would play while the others worked and nobody would notice them. Well, they were wrong. The boys in our class, you see, hated those four, too, and always tried to get them into trouble. But each attempt had been a miserable failure, because those girls are very smart and pretty despite their meanness, and they always, always acted sweet and polite and cute around grown-ups, and the grown-ups thought they were sweet little angels and never, ever believed the boys. But really, they're selfish and disgusting. (I hate to say this, but Anna is in charge of the class, as in "班长". And I have to act nice to them at school, or else they wouldn't help me when I need it, and other girls would think I'm very weird.)Well, and so they played while we worked. (School wasn't yet finished by that time) But just then our teacher went in and said that we'll wait until school is finished, and then clean up. Meanwhile, we'll write our homework. Of course she noticed that the four girls are gone, so she asked the class where they were. The boys quickly realized that this was a super opportunity to revenge on the girls, get them into trouble. So they blabbed to the teacher, saying that they must have snuck away to play or went home early. The teacher was furious though she didn't go search for them. They behaved in front of the teachers, usually. So instead, we waited while we wrote in our textbooks. Finally they came, sweating, and panting with laughter. The teacher (her name's Miss Tang) was fuming with rage. She asked, "How nice of you to join us at this time of the day. Where have you been?" They looked at each other. Then finally, Anna said in a very small voice, "The, the, the teachers' office. Mr. Tang's office." Now everyone knows that's a big, fat lie, and Miss Tang knew it too. She was even more outraged, and demanded, "Why were you there? Should I ask Mr. Tang about this? Are you really there?" Then there was a long silence. I smiled secretly to myself, enjoying the scene greatly. Miss Tang gave each of them a good, hard glare, and then said to us, "All of you, out. Go to the playground and pick up the leaves." she turned to the four girls again, still standing in the doorway, "And you can tidy the classroom." When I collected my stuff and shuffled through the doorway along with the others, I smirked, and thought, what a nice day.
So the story ends. I'll tell you the history background of me and Anna in the next letter. Bye! Reply soon!
Sincerely,
YN
