自已以前学英语时，“Yes, I am. Yes, I do. Yes, it is. No, it isn't. ”倒背得滚瓜烂熟。所以英语考试总是高分，但听力口语就惨不忍睹了。后来看老外回答，都是简单的yes or no（当然我接触的老外也不多），有时他们在yes or no后面跟着补充说明一句，或是什么"yes,of courseyes,please"这类，很少见有这么正式的回答.我还想着我从小学的都是应试英语呢，所以儿子只说yes or no我也没当一回事。大家来说说，对于这种一般疑问句需要回答得这么正式吗？

1、 类似这种‘Yes, it is.’ 的回答并不算是正式的。老外在日常交流中用得很多。
印象很深的一个情景是，我在美国大学的时候，一次上课前的几分钟时间，身边两个女孩聊得起劲儿。现不记得她们说些什么了，只记得一个女孩问了一连串的问题，另一个女孩乐哈哈的回答，一个问题，她就答一个“Yes, it does.”  总之是一连串的问题，一连串的Yes, it does.  

2、 除‘Yes, it is.’ 之类外，还有很多回答方式。比如：Yes, I like it.

3、 中国学生所说的 'Yes, I like.' （这个在中国学生中比Yes, I like it. 更多见。）其内在基础是和英语母语者所说的‘Yes, I like it.’  是完全不一样的。
       在英语母语者方面是语言的活用；而中国学生则更多是因为汉语的影响，导致Yes, I am. Yes, I do. 只留于笔头或做题，在口头上就很难流利地说出来。

4、 如果学英语的目的是希望在短期内获得某种实用能力，比如急着出国、旅游的话，答个yes或no也就可以了。
        但这毕竟不是太好的语言。仅仅回答一个yes 或 no，如果缺少特定的情境，特定的人际关系（熟人、朋友、同事...），又或者没有适当的语气、神态的配合，这种回答是不得体甚至是粗鲁的。
        我们的孩子还小，他们有更多的时间去获得更好的语言。因此，在嘴巴上注意点这些Yes, I am. Yes, I do. Yes, it is. No, it isn't.用法，为的是减少汉语的负牵移影响，获得更好的英语语言习惯。

5、 如果不是规定句式的语法练习，比如在自由交谈中，外教也不会去纠正这种问题。因为说个yes, no, yes, I like也是可以明白的。但因为不了解汉语的特点，外教也就不容易发现其实学生是不会说“Yes, it is. Yes, it doesn......”

if i answer papa or mom's questions with yes, i am, everyone can tell i have done something wrong and ... you know the father-son talks and the concerned-parent face. normally, i would tell them yeah / sure / okey or nope / no way / not gonna happen.

to 可爱小熊, i meant he lost his normal eye. one of zuko's eye was black, it was burned area. i didn't mean his was blind. i am sorry i didn't say it clearly.

LZ， 哪里有动画下载呀。以前的盘坏了。我是个电脑盲，第一集的找了好多天都没下载到，google一堆，乱安装一些，还是未遂。第二三集在本帖中下载到了。如今第四集又没影了。

看来以前认识有误区。。和孩子商量下以后yes or no后面能否多加点，至少书面回答先这样。刚好这段时间给他讲了点动词时态，当运用时态变化了。。

　 no, she was afraid of Aang would be too excited. i think she might thought of zuko's follow. en, i think Aang was too naughty. when Sokka and Katara studied hard, Aang was just playing.

3. Have you ever showed off to get someone's attention? Or has someone ever  showed off to get your attention?
　 i like to show off my block pictures to Peter but i don't think i want to get his attention. i am just share with Peter.

4. Explain how Katara saved Aang.
　 she hit the water and the water rush them up to the shore. she even took water out of Aang with water banding.

5. Explain how the Kyoshi Warriors challenged Sokka's view of women.
　 they game him a good lesson. they even bound his hand and leg together with his own belt.

6. Is there anything you wear which symbolizes something? Explain what it means.
　 yeah, there is some close. it is white or blue stripe, and it means i am in hospital.

7. What kinds of symbols would you find around your house.
　 sorry, it is private.

8. In your opinion, what symbolizes honor?
　 every one listen to me and do whatever i say like every one do that to papa.

9. In your opinion, what symbolizes courage?
　 do everything without mom or papa pal around.

No she dosen’t ,katara want to go to the North Pole to help Aang learn the waterbander ,but Aang dosen’t want to leave Kyoshi.

No I haven’t .but my friend Bill has a new yoyo, and he played the yoyo to get my attention.

No, she wasn’t. No, she didn’t.

No, I haven’t. No, they haven’t .

In the first time, katara swam and used water banding to get away the unagi to save Aang. Then katara used water banding to get out water from Aang’s mouth.

Yes,I wear scool uinform.It mean”s my scool.
