先检讨!
这件事拖了很久才做,效率够低,拖拉度够高!
但是,看着这众多妈妈们合力砌成的高楼,我只能偷着擦汗呀!
其实不想让说出来,大家已经找到了一个在家里、在缺少英语环境下帮助孩子开口说的方便法门!
是的!其实事情并不复杂,难度并不高,人人能做,每个孩子都能说!
能力强的,多说一些,刚起步的,也可以用最简单的词语表达自己。
哪怕不愿意开口的,把自己所思所想写下来,那么每个问题都是很好的Journal topic!
令人惊喜的是,孩子们的语言看起来比出题的大人来得更地道!
更令人惊喜的是,孩子们对问题有自己的看法,对电影有自己的理解,而且能用自己的语言表达出来!
这个高楼里可圈可点的地方很多,看看我下面摘来的金句:

我曾花一个下午的时间,在手机上和一美国朋友探讨什么是destiny, 什么是fate。弄完后我脑子还是迷糊的。
这里我不得不惊叹这孩子对destiny轻松得来却又似深刻洞查的见解。
生为中国孩子,getting good grades and make my parents happy,是他们难逃的destiny!

胡思乱想可以帮助睡眠!证明乱想得好!但我绝对不肯去实践,我睡不着,什么事儿都想,就是不想睡觉!

这帐算得好清啊!我脑子里转了几下才整清楚!

我估计这小子不是学过李小龙的截拳道,就是跟当年的女排偷过师。
这结论来得可真是短、平、快!我脑子仍得转几转!

I will choose fire bend. that way I l can play fire anytime.

Saving the would. Like, I would rather be the Avatar instead of some stupid person wasting his life for FUN.
I would choose having fun. cause even though saving the world would be great , I'd rather have a normal life and have fun.

两年前没刷牙的事情都还能记得,这responsibility到底是shunned了没呢?

这是一个切行可行,行之有效的方法。
但我们还可以做得更好一点。
1、 一般疑问句的题目,出题前最好准备几套把话题推进的方案。不然很多中国学生会用yes或no来把你打发掉;
比如,最常用的办法是追一个why?
象这个问题
“Do you have honor? Do you show it?“
答曰‘Nope!’ 马上追一个“Why? Why do you think so?” 再不说? 再来“What's (an) honor?” ......
懂得把问题推进,是谈话的技巧。在口语训练课中,这可以帮助学生打开话匣,整理思路,然后把匣子里的宝贝用学生可以驾驭的语言表达出来。
2、作为题目,象这 Do you think Prince Zuko respects his Uncle? Why or why not? 题目也差不多只能这么出了。
但题目是死的,人是活的,灵活地把问题细化,具体化,因人制宜、因地制宜,一是可以避免题目大而空(题目大而空,学生也会给你大而空的回答,这是我们的汉语思维最擅长的!),二是帮助学生梳理思维。
3、注意到对Why问题的回答,孩子总喜欢用“Because ...”开头。好像在每个年龄段、各不同程度的学生中都是这样。
下次试试丢掉“because”看看怎样?
总之,这是一个非常有意义,有价值的活动。
与孩子这样交流,就算是用汉语都是非常宝贵的。
现在是用了英语,活动设计的初衷是达到了,但我还发现了另一个现象:
也许是因为用了英语,家长对孩子的答案、思考的干扰少了。
是不是呢?
