Caillou: Look, I made a picture of Julie.
Mommy: That’s great. Caillou.
Storyteller: Caillou was excited because Julie was coming over to babysit.
Caillou: Where are you and daddy going
Mommy: We are going to eat in a restaurant.
Caillou: Can I come?
Mommy: Not this time, Caillou.
Julie: Hi, Caillou.
Caillou : Hi, Julie. Look! I made you this.
Julie: Thank you, Caillou. It’s beautiful!
Mommy: there is
over, Julie. We should be home about three hours.
Caillou: I want to go. I like restaurants.
Daddy: You are going to have a wonderful time with Julie, Caillou. And mommy made you your favorite macaroni.
Caillou: No. I’m not going to have a good time.
Mommy: Bye! Rosie. Bye! Caillou.
Rosie: Bye!
Daddy: Bye, Caillou.
Julie: You wanna help me prepare dinner, Caillou?
Caillou: Ok. I want to eat in a restaurant.
Rosie: Can you play?
Julie: I have an idea, Caillou. Why don’t we make our own restaurant?
Caillou: Ok. Rosie, too.
Rosie: ha,(gigle)
Storyteller: Caillou was going to have a wonderful time. He was making a menu and a waiter’s bowtie.
Julie: I wonder what’s keeping our waiter?
Rosie: Me, too.
Caillou: Here I am.
Julie: It all lools very yummy. But this looks really good.
Caillou: That would be four pennies, please.
Rosie: mm, yummy.
Caillou: No, Rosie. You don’t like beans. You have to choose macaroni.
Four pennies, please.
Rosie: No.
Caillou: Ok, one penny.
Julie: Can I be the waiter now, Caillou?
Caillou: Ok.
Julie: And what would you like to eat, sir?
Caillou: Macaroni is my favorite.
Julie: Macaroni it is. That’ll be four pennies, sir.
Caillou: I don’t have any money.
Julie: If you can
T pay for your meal, you have to do the dishes. But I guess we can make it an exception.
Caillou: No. I want to do the dishes.
Storyteller: All this work was making Caillou hungry.
Caillou: I’m glad I didn’t go to mommy and daddy’s restaurant. I like ours better. |
