对现实的渴望
我们很少给孩子说革命历史。主要是料太多，然不知虚实。这两天俩俩总是缠着我，曰：讲讲革命故事。
17日：
十大元帅---籍贯，出身，革命前的背景，战功，轶事，49年后的际遇，职位。
18日：
最著名的两位将星：粟裕，陈赓---出身，战例，49年后的际遇。

孩子们大了，希望更多的了解近些的事情。
依依说：男生们对这些似乎都挺知道的，而女生好像什么也不了解。

前些日子，做过一些阅读理解练习，孩子们感觉简单，昨天改为外研社的阅读试题（高一），做的是福建2010的高考试题。逐句朗读翻译，再做选择题。
翻译：依依更好些。书名译的很好：Jazz Age---爵士春秋。
选择：孩子们感觉有难度，4道选择题只对了2道。56题：知道novel 与story、play的不同，可还是马虎数错。58题：题看的不仔细。

F . Scott Fitzgerald, born on September 24,1896, an American novelist, was once a student of St.Paul Academy, the Newman School and attended Princeton. University for a short while. In 1917 he joined the army and was posted in Alabama, where he met his future wife Zelda Sayre. Then he had to make some money to impress her.

  His life with her was full of great happiness, as he wrote in his diary :“ My own happiness in the past often approached such joy that I could share it even with the person dearest to me but had to walk it away in quiet streets and take down parts of it in my diary.”

  This side of paradise, his first novel, was published in 1920. encouraged by its success, Fitzgerald began to devote more time to his writing. Then he continued with the novel the Beautiful and Damned (1922), a collection of short stories Thales of the Jazz Age (1922), and a play The Vegetable (1923). But his greatest success was The Great Gatsby, published in 1925,which quick brought him praise from the literary world. Yet it failed to give him the needed financial security. Then, in 1926, he published another collection lf short stories All the Sad Young Men.

  However, Fitzgerald’s problems with his wife Zelda affected his writing. During the 1920s he tried to reorder his life, but failed. By 1930, his wife had her first breakdown and went to a Swiss clinic. During this period he completed novels Tender Is the Night in 1934 and The love of the last Tycoon in 1940. while his wife was in hospital in the United States, he got totally addicted to alcohol. Sheila Graham, his dear friend, helped him fight his alcoholism.

好像不大理解，这样能达到提高阅读的效果吗？
阅读讲求的 是速度和准确率，如果都翻译出来了，估计也就明白了。

这类文章，我们是当做精读短文来练习的。
论文章的难度，感觉相当于新概念二80课以后，新概念三前10课的水平。没有太复杂的文法，有些生词，还有个别的动词搭配不熟悉。整体理解起来不难，但逐句细读会有一些盲点，而这往往是选择题出错的由来。
孩子们过去读文除了新概念就是小说，短篇仅在学校试题中有接触，但又过于简单。这些年的高考阅读题多是英美报刊小说中的原文摘选，可读性很强，难度适中，而选择题往往采取雅思等国外考试的方式，很活且有趣。
当然，如果是应试练习，应该选择难度再低一点点的短文，会更好。不过，依依俩俩现在更缺的是积累性阅读。
逐句翻译，我们是头一次做。主要是希望孩子们能感受中文与英语在表达方式上的不同，而英译汉应该如何去做。

这种文章，我更愿意从别的视角去读。下周末准备看Scott Fitzgerald的The Great Gatsby（1974年版）的视频，据说明年新版又要出了，很期待。

期末复习时间特别紧张，孩子们睡觉时间已拖到10点以后。
新概念背诵完成94课，还剩下最后2课。希望本周完成。
第一次背新二用时14个月，这回第二次8个月不到一点。
练习做到：29课。
重点：时态的反应---现在完成时与过去式。
孩子们在回答问题时，能够有意识同我提问的时态相一致，但反应比较慢，且出错。还要多练。

不用急，这只是个由头。我是想把f.scott fitzgerald 引出来，然后会有他的The Great Gatsby，还会有他改编的Gong With the Wind（Margaret Mitchell ），都是中学时可以认真读一读的novel。

意志与体力

最近，俩俩班上的语文老师留的抄写作业非常多，平均每天的抄写量超过千字，周末达到三千字。
我们为了不枯燥，全部改为听写。
俩俩大约进行到90%时，开始犯晕，发脾气；到接近结束时，恢复正常。
一两天，还算罢了。一两周，可就不是好玩的了。
好在俩俩体力非常好，也很有毅力，能咬牙，肯咬牙。
好处:
字感非常好----俩俩默写基本不假思索。这和依依完全不是一个水平。
书写速度快----默写千字，基本上在50分钟内。
坏处：
很累---基本上是在写完其他作业后，再做这项练习，时间已经八点半以后，甚至九点。人的脑力、体力很难支撑，估计依依连俩俩的一半也未必干的过来。

这位语文老师是中学下来的，特别强调书写的熟练，特点就是绝不通融。这一点，很值得深思。
我们是一边骂老师一边听写的。累是一定的，但俩俩还是很感谢这一近似无理的要求。估计期末完了，俩俩的听写速度可以达到千字/40分钟，接近成人水平。
寒假，要好好锻炼。

1122爸爸，我买了杨振中编写的《历代文言小故事》，阳阳现在做的<先秦.两汉>部分，每天做一篇，里面只有单字和词语的解释，后面答案也就是字词句的，没有全文解释，我是不是要把全文解释找出来看看呢？

我的理解是有单字和词语的解释已经足矣。全文要靠阳阳自己一点点揣摩。
开始理解的不清晰无所谓，重要的是广泛阅读，语感才可能出来。
而文言文语感非常重要，高考文言文的句读填空就源于此。有了语感，这完全是小菜一碟。
