今天为完成学校的周末英文作文作业,女儿选择翻译一则菜谱(原文见于《聪明女孩的美丽宝典》这本班上流行的书)。因为今天看了一部英文电影,我建议作业做简单些,这是在这个建议下的选择。和好运做菜属于巧合,她还未看上帖。她写好后说有改写,且以前和小朋友(有改动的)做过此菜。我表扬了她,说汉译英以前还没做过,这是中国考试中常有的题型。我让她将中文原文和英文改译录于下:
苹果下午茶
我很喜欢嚼自己做的苹果干,非常美味而且富含多种维生素。瞧,做法就在下面啦!
1、把苹果去皮,去核(你可以用去核器把核去掉);
2、把苹果切成薄片;
3、把苹果摆放在铝箔纸上;
4、把它们放进预热好的烤箱里,烤箱门不要关起来,低火烤制10分钟左右。
Instructions to Make Tasty Baked Apple Wedges
You need: two clean, medium-sized apples, a sharp knife, aluminum foil, an oven, and honey for dressing.
1. Peel and core your apples with the knife, but be careful. If you can’t manage it, ask for an adult’s help.
2. Slice the apple into small wedges. Don’t hurt yourself!
3. Place the wedges upon a piece aluminum foil in an orderly fashion. Be sure your hands are clean!
4. Put the wedges in the oven (don’t forget preheat it first). And bake for ten minutes with medium heat.
5. Take the wedges out, and dress with honey.
6. Put them in the fridge to cool for thirty minutes.
