Chapter 1—the activity
“xxx...xxx...xxx...xxx” The teacher was talking and I was not listening . “Oh, when will the teacher stop?” I thought. My best friend, Tina, had been missing for days, and both her parents and I were worried. I couldn’t concentrate in my class, I was thinking about Tina all the time.
But I did hear some interesting words: “xxx...4 kids... xxx...1 day...xxx... helper....xxx... hotel...xxx...activity...” I opened my eyes, because that sounded interesting! “What activity?” I asked Mr. Stone. “Oh boy, Caroline, you’re not listening, are you?” Mr. Stone sighed. “Ok, I will repeat this one more time. Now listen carefully! Tomorrow, you each find a group, that’s 2 boys and 2 girls in a group. After finding your group, you have to go to a hotel, and to be a little helper there. You can help the waiter serve the customers, you can help the cleaning woman clean the rooms, and you can even help a hotel manager do his work!” Mr. Stone cleared his throat and continued, “But don’t be naughty and don’t be a pain in the neck! At night, you are going to sleep in the hotel. And…” “Wow! Does that mean we can help anyone?” Jenny asked, “And not go to school tomorrow?” “Yes, yes, and please don’t interrupt again. The room buzzed with excitement, everyone was talking about which hotel they were going to choose, and what job they were going to help. I was also excited! I could go out with Sarah, Frank and Mike! Sarah, Frank and Mike are my best friend. (Tina is also my best friend).
Every year, the 4 of us go out together. I turned to Sarah, “Hey Sal, (I always call Sarah: Sal) which hotel do you want to go?” “The Sea Blue Hotel of course！！”The boys said that they want to go to The Sea Blue Hotel too. The Sea Blue Hotel is an old hotel. Many people think that place is haunted .But I don’t think so, I think that place is cool! So we sent our plan to Mr. Stone. It was like this: “Members—Caroline, Sarah, Frank and Mike. Place-The Sea Blue Hotel. ”
That night I didn’t sleep, I was too excited. Here we come, Sea Blue Hotel!!!^-^
