飓风Sandy的影响是否会导致停课呢？

Mr.B住在东部，受到Sandy的正面影响。情况应该是昨天最严重。尽管Mr.B忧虑重重，但昨天的课仍是上下来了。
Baker老师、Vicky老师、Mrs. Clubb住在中部，按理是不会有太大问题，但他们也感到了这个飓风的影响，担心随时断电。
住在东部的还有Ruda老师，Angela老师......
Sany的影响是否会导致今明这两天停课，目前仍不好说。
总之一有情况我们会及时通知的。

Hi Dawn,
Thanks for asking.  My area had lots of rain and wind. A few areas of our town are without electricity but my area only lost it for a few minutes. At least it wasn't snow! New England weather is very fickle. It changes all the time.  South of us in New York and New Jersey got hit harder.  Thank goodness we are all fine. Thank you for your concern.

Dear Dawn,

The Chicago area is feeling some of the effects of Hurricane Sandy.  We are experiencing very high winds with some areas even losing power.  The lights have flickered a few times here tonight already.  I just wanted to let you know just in case we lose power.  If by chance, we do lose power, I will see if I can send you word on my phone through an e-mail, but I'm not sure if the winds will affect phone reception. Anyway, if for some reason I am not able to show up for class in the morning, a power outage will be the reason.   :-)  Hopefully the wind will die down soon and all will be well.  :-)  --Vicky

Mr.B的：

I am monitoring things here and the internet is very slow.  I'd try to get inland a bit but the roads are too dangerous right now.
Today is supposed to be the worst. Tuesday will be better and things will be normal by Wednesday.
I am willing to try the classes, but the children and the parents need to know what is going on over here.
I've been in worse, but never in a building that swayed in the wind.

I will lie down for a while now.  I just could't sleep with the storm rocking the condo complex. We had a few connection problems, but we made it through ok.
I was worried.  Things will be better tomorrow, as well.
I'm going to lie down.  I've been following the storm most of the night and it was hard to get used to a house that is swaying in the wind.

Thanks for your concern, but my home in relation to where the cyclone came to shore is like your home in relation to Beijing.
We didn't even get a drop of rain.  
Tomorrow i want to look at homework, p95 TTW and go on to Ch 2,  L2
