The writer Michelle Paver has won the 2010 Guardian children's fiction prize for the concluding volume of her bestselling Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series, Ghost Hunter. The award has been given annually since 1967, and is decided by a panel of authors and the reviews editor for The Guardian's children's books section.
