Awesome Triple Story May 20, 2012 By Troy N. Anderson Format:Kindle Edition This book is so great! I would probaly have rated this four star because Amazon charged more for the kindle book than the hard cover. So I bought the hard cover. Aside from that this book has 3 short stories that make it up. The first is about a boy who has to gaurd an alterpiece that the Vespers are trying to distroy way back in the 14th century. The second is about Grace back when she was 17 during WWII. She also has to rescue the alterpiece from the Germans (the Vespers fooled Hitler in to thinking it held a map to a supernatural powers). And then the third is about Ian and Natiale on there first mission. The also end "saving" the alterpiece as well. If you wanted some more info on who Isabella really is you should really read this book. All together this is an awesome book that is well writing and thrilling.

However, the caretaker of these files feels it is essential that the information is shared, for the sake of both the Cahill family and the world. THE CAHILL FILES #1: OPERATION TRINITY is the history of a world famous group of paintings by Van Eyck that form a breathtaking altarpiece. It is rumored to contain a secret map for which the Vespers are willing to do anything to get their hands on, including murder. The year is 1566, and a young man by the name of Matheus Jacobs is about to discover what it means to be a part of the Cahill family legacy. As a younger son in the family, Matheus needs to learn a trade. Much to his father's shame, Matheus is clumsy and weak, so he wouldn't make a good blacksmith apprentice or carpenter trainee. However, his mother finds the perfect fit for him: being an altar boy at a cathedral in Ghent. But she has more in mind than having her son learn a trade. She lets Matheus in on a little family secret, and it has become his job to guard the altarpiece at the cathedral. This altarpiece, made up of several paintings by Van Eyck, is desperately sought after by the enemy Vespers, and they are coming for it. Matheus must dig deep for courage in order to keep this treasure safe at all costs. The year is 1945, and teenager Grace Cahill is stuck in a Massachusetts boarding school. She's been training for the Cahill objectives all of her life, and had already successfully completed many missions. However, with WWII raging across the globe, the idea of her petty relatives fighting over a silly scavenger hunt seems rather unimportant. She had felt this way until one of her beloved teachers winds up dead, and Grace learns that he'd been involved in trying to recover some missing paintings that are part of an altarpiece from the famous artist Van Eyck. So Grace calls up all of her past training and stows away on a Navy ship to cross the Atlantic. She has some important paintings to save in the name of world peace. The year is 2008, and 14-year-old Ian Kabra and his younger sister Natalie are about to embark on their first solo mission. Finally, all of their training will pay off, and Ian can prove his worth to his accomplished mother. The mission isn't too complicated: Ian and Natalie will sneak into a building and copy some files from the computer. Still, Ian fights down his nerves and tries to plan for every possible outcome; he must not fail. Then something goes wrong --- alarms go off and the building is soon swarming with police. Clifford Riley has a wonderful use of language, creating vivid descriptions and heart-pumping action.
