除了any many两个例外，前面那几个单词都有 spelling rules  支持的。

检查了一遍那28条规则，没找到A发音的规则，是不是还有其它规则？

是spelling rules,  不是pronounce rules。 关于音节划分，是跟发音有关的，音节划分是按字典的为准，但是字典与字典之间也可能是有个别不同的，一般来说，能正确发音，就能按spelling rules分出来。

也有一些pronounce rules，比如 a 在词尾发第三音，grrandma。 a 在 l 前发第3音，wall, almost， a在 w 后发第3音， water，watch。 但不是绝对的，wag 就不是了，wage 也不是了，但它们仍然符合另外的规则。

研究了一番前辈的帖子，对y的发音想请教下，有书上说除了辅音外，y是发3种元音，一个是长e，如baby,一个是长i，比如cry.一种是短i,比如syrup，但是看LZ的笔记似乎是“ y为什么为被圈起来？因为它非常特别，它是唯一的既可是元音又可是辅音的。作为辅音，只有一个读音，音节开头读/y/ 如果year,yes, yard.    作为元音有两个音。 我们展示这个音图的时候是一次性教读/y/   /i/   /I/  三个音的。”不知道baby这类在SWR中是怎么解释发音的呢

Do you add the /E/ sound to Y, if so..how do you mark it? Also...what other sounds, I know AAS adds the /u/ sound to O, not sure I want to do that, it has been awhile since I read my SWR manual but..she had a good reason not to add that to the words come and some, I believe, maybe I am wrong.

Just curious...I am going to go against the grain and add the /E/ sound, I just can't believe that would hurt anything, especially for younger children.
