Cinquain:
Daffodil
Golden butterfly
Fluttering, smiling, dancing
Happy messenger of nature
Spring
Stars
Sparkling lights
Twinkling, blinking, glimmering
Angles in the sky
Diamonds
Hills
Gentle giants
Rolling, stretching, spreading
Land of nature, happiness
Waves

Singing water
Laughing, flowing, splashing
Pure spirit of spring

Floating, flickering, swaying

Rhymed Poem: Dancing with the trees
As I thought about my score in Math,
My heart sank, and I wandered on a lonely path.
On the path I saw lots of trees,
With long slender branches, small green leaves.
All of them I saw at a glance,
Were stretching their arms, silently dance.
(Were stretching their arms in a silent dance.)
Beside the lake as far as I can see,
Dancing and swaying in the breeze.
The wind blew; the leaves fell,
They happily swirled, and rang like bells.
Leaves spun around like naughty boys,
Full of spirit, life and joy!
I gazed and gazed at the endless line,
And joined the dance that is so fine.
Swirling and spinning,
Jumping and stretching.
The tiredness and sadness had floated away,
Only joy and pleasure had happily stayed.
So whenever I’m lonely or sad,
I’ll think about the trees, and quickly be glad.
My heart will gently breathe,
And happily dance with the trees.
Limerick: (AABBA) Ha!
Rain
Rain is falling on the ground;
Making gentle musical sound.
It falls on the frog;
The little brown dog
And everything all around.
