读书：How Not to Babysit Your Brother  (Step into Reading 4) （借）



Will's little brother, Steve, is big trouble.

    Grandma was taking a nap.  Will was playing computer game, while Steve wanted to play hide-and-seek.  Steve and the dog Buster, went hiding and Will continue with his game. Then, the house was toooooo quiet......
    Then CRASH! from the kitchen, Steve was in the dog food bin, with dog food stuck in his hair, nose, clothes........
    Steve was taken to the bathtub, with Will's idea of playing tidal wave....WAVE!
    Will was soaked, so do all the stuff on the counter by the sink, and all four walls.
    Steve helped to CLEAN the bathroom while Will look for a mop.  When he returned, the bathroom is EXTRA clean and sparkles!
    Steve was hungry after the cleaning.  He was sent to the kitchen to make some snack himself. And he made a sandwich out of ham, a whole tomato, an entire cucumber, cold spaghetti, pickles, chocolate syrup, sardines, and yogurt.....
    Again Steve was sent to the family room while Will clean the kitchen.  So, Steve started to make grandma and himself look pretty with Mom's makeup bag.........


我们母子三人抱着这本书读了两天。
都是三人轮流一人读一页。两个小顽皮边读边笑。
今天要求再次一起读这本书。
对于那个Sandwich，特别感兴趣。

之后，silent reading 15 分钟。

他们自己默读的书不知道读到哪儿了，没问。书，都是图书馆借的，希望能在还书前读完。

老大：Across the Dark Sea (Make Tracks Series).  His comment : very interesting.

老二：Jingle Bells, Batman Smells!  (JBJ Series)

书：Pinky Dinky Doo - Think PINK!  (Step into reading 3)



In "inky Dinky Doo: Think Pink!" Pinky tells a made-up story about acave girl who thought back and got pink hair. She then ended up gettingpink her herself!

Her GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT................. Great-Grandma Doo also had PINK hair.....



又是两天读一本借来的书。

借书前，他们已认识这位女主角了。学后托管中心那儿给看过这个节目了。

昨天，让他们俩读给我听。弟弟开始读，中间哥哥读了一段。读完，弟弟来领功，并投诉哥哥只读了一段。

今天，又想读这本书。拿起书，弟弟想起哥哥使诈，昨晚只读了一段，不甘心。妈妈出馊主意，今晚由哥哥来读，弟弟只读一段好了，公平啦。哪知哥哥竟自愿给大家读完整本书，还读的兴致勃勃地，好棒！


今天开学了，第三学期了。时间过得真快，四个星期的假期就这么悄悄的溜过了。

这么快就开学了？我们还没放假呢

而且，第三学期是指二年级上学期吗？记得你们是去年春天开始上学的，现在开学应该是第四学期呀，有点糊涂

一年4个学期。一月到十二月为一学年。

每个学期10个星期。
第一和三个学期放一个星期假。
第二学期，即年中，4个星期假。
第四学期，即年终（尾），6个星期假。
一年52个星期就这么分配了。

呵呵，假期多终究是好事儿，现在就盼着放假呢

孩子开学了。除了忙就是累。

这么多天就只陪他们翻过两本书，其余时间都是玩！

孩子的阅读喜好似乎还是受着周遭同学的影响。曾一度很喜欢的一套系列图书 Geronimo Stilton，就是受到几位同学的影响，拉着我满图书馆找来了几本，借了，读了，有些好像还没读完就还了。与此同时，还在他们一再央求下，买了几本他们希望能收起慢慢读的。然后，搁置了，目标转移至其他书籍。又一三分钟热度的好榜样。

最近开学不久，又重新把这几本书拾起，说是带到学校去做 Slient Reading。昨天说读完了，自己换上其他的书。

读完的是：
Geronimo Stilton - I'm Too Fond of My Fur!
Geronimo Stilton - The Christmas Toy Factory.

Geronimo Stilton 是一只鼠记者。故事是有关发生在他身边和他所经历的各类有趣的事。

开始读这些书时，曾问过他们 -- 这些故事都很有趣，好笑。他们似乎都喜欢带点笑料的故事，当中就包括了 Junie B Jones 的故事。

翻了翻那两本书，内容不算很难，排版可是七彩夺目的，难怪能吸引我家两个小淘气了。

今天老二回来告诉我，在学校图书馆借了本 MTH 的书，还在学校读完了 Chapter 1。
