一叶小舟

我家姑娘快二年级,小时候给她很多视听方面的输入,按顺序来,主要有 gogo, disney, dora, franklin,洪恩奇境英语, 还有许多原版电影和原声mp3,还学了3l.

玩着wawayaya和reader rabbit 进入了 phonics的学习, 后来有了套<开心小读者>就真正开始了英语启蒙阅读.我们家的阅读不管是否在假期一直有坚持的,发贴应该是继续记录了.

来了个开场白, 现在进入主题. 昨天女儿读的故事是 ellen and the gold fish,  http://bbs.etjy.com/viewthread.php?tid=68974&highlight=

这个故事里可能就tangle这个词是没接触过吧,也不知道她读故事时理解没有,她没问,我也不说. 早上给她梳头发,梳重了她在那儿叫嚷,我说了句: that's because your hair get  tangled. 她回了句: my hair doesn't get tangled, you're rude.看来还是懂的.我觉得新学到的词汇一定要找机会及时用.

这书很清晰,字体也大,比较适合给小朋友直接在电脑上阅读.其实论坛上很多书都很精美,小朋友都喜欢

我们NCE和TREASURE 双管齐下,NCE第二册比较简单,第三册尚觉得不好下手,暂时不学,觉得第三册三年级的小朋友学"很难".

这一学期孩子的班级被打散,所以她也随之被分配到新的班级.刚开始到这个班,她最不能适应的是这个班的作业量, 常常得做到很晚才去睡觉. 我慢慢观察了一下,作业量大是一个原因,但主要的原因是她做事没计划,拖拖拉拉的,就比如听故事, 她听着故事吃饭能吃上两个钟头,到了做作业的时间也该上床睡觉去了. 跟她好好分析了原因之后,她每天放学回来会先做个计划才开始做作业.现在情况大有改变,8点半前基本完成作业,户外活动没耽误,她还能挤点时间出来听故事. 她现在同时在听猫头鹰系列和安妮系列. 猫头鹰系列是放在电脑上听的, 安妮系列是存在MP4里. 她的MP4很少离手,见缝就打开音频听. 有时候我真觉得这样听故事太费时间了, 不如每天就听听几分钟新闻,真想把她的故事都藏起来. 一面是这么想的,一面又没少给她下载故事,最近就一直在拉A2Z, the 39 clues,和percy jackson等系列.

阅读这方面她这几天在读henry huggins, 现在在打印spiderwick.  看书的时间不多.

这段时间我一直在论坛潜水学习, 结果是在新概念和加州treasures教材之间, 我终于决定放弃前者. 这绝非一时而起之念, 我已经做好持之以恒的准备. 加州这套教材侧重读写,读这部分可以学到很多genres和阅读策略,尤其是story structure部分graphic organizers的使用非常好.写侧重点我也非常喜欢,分brainstorm, model, 和proofreading等几步骤进行写作引导,正是我想要的. 这套教材真的非常难得.

很仔细地研究这套教材之后,决定从第二册开始.教材我没打印,直接在电脑上看,把配套的练习打印出来做.每册6个单元,每个单元5个主题,每个主题一般分3次到4次进行,即使是简简单单地学, 学完一册也得需要一个学期吧. 一个学期就一个学期吧,慢慢来.

加州教材的学习我们已经开始有一个多星期,正巧碰上放假,所以学得多些,还差一个写作练习就学完第一单元的三个主题了.

假期里比较松散，记起就学点英语。要论收获，确实没有多少，倒是学了点奥数。

现在开学了，估计也不会有太多的改善，因为孩子自己要做的事情不少，闲暇的时间她多数是看书或是听故事，不容我再做安排。我该上心的是要怎么保护她的视力。随着她户外时间的减少，她的左眼开始亮起红灯，所以有机会我得带她打球爬山才行。

有一项我坚持得很好，就是听新闻。上星期的新闻大多关于灾难，偶尔还有点趣闻，这样的内容孩子不需要什么背景，孩子很容易就能听懂了。不过这两天的新闻在女儿看来就不简单了，不是政治时世就是体育，女儿对时世没啥背景知识，对体育新闻也没啥兴趣，就那则关于奥巴马的电视讲话她听了几遍还听得稀里糊涂的。

看来报纸和新闻联播都看得太少了。

这段时间没有好好监督孩子，都不知道有什么可以记录的了
给孩子下载了goosebumps的两个音频来听，她一听就喜欢上了，顺便把我给她推荐的这类书中的一本也看了。她说这书很恐怖，但是她说不是吓人的那种，而是觉得很惊险。
她还听完了zack files
这得感谢FNW的分享。
新概念没学，我没有安排她学这个主要是因为她一大早起来就捧书看。她一看书起来我一般是不想打扰她的。再加上我也没有时间带她学，而她自己学的话学得粗糙，没办法扎扎实实地学，还不如不学。
朗读方面：女儿读了Goldilock和Princess Justina Albertina，后者来自Tumble book。我把整理的文本发出来，看有没有谁需要。

Princess Justina Albertina liked to have her own way. When she didn’t get it, she got a funny look in her big green eyes and started to fuss. She caused a ruckus and a rumpus and a horrible hubbub. She made so much noise that it gave her nanny a headache.
So when Princess Justina Albertina said, “I WANT A PET!”, her nanny went to the royal lagoon and scooped out a polka-dotted puffer fish.
Princess Justina Albertina watched her fish swim around inside a bowl. She tapped on the glass to get its attention. The fish swam faster and faster. “This fish is no fun. I want a pet that notices me.”
So her nanny roller-skated to town and bought a two-headed dog.
The dog licked Princess Justina Albertina all over her face. “Let’s go for a walk,” she said, climbing onto his back. The dog rolled over and played dead.
“This dog is lazy. I want a pet I can ride.”
So her nanny climbed a rope to the enchanted forest and lured a unicorn with rose petals and songs.
Princess Justina Albertina made her unicorn trot and canter and gallop. Then she took it to the fence. “Jump!”
The unicorn stopped.
“Go! Leap! Dance! Pirouette!” she ordered, but the unicorn would not budge. “This unicorn isn’t listening to a thing I say. I want a pet that listens!”
Her nanny sighed, but she grabbed her rubber boots and took a raft to Brazil. Then she waded up the Amazon until she found a talking toucan.
Princess Justina Albertina said, “Hello.”
The toucan cocked her head to one side listening. Then she said, “Toucan.”
“Say Justina Albertina!”
“Toucan.”
“Justina Albertina! Justina Albertina!”
“Toucan. Toucan. Toucan.”
“This toucan is too stupid to say my name. I want a clever pet.”
Her nanny frowned but she took a magic carpet to Africa and soared over the jungle. At last, high in the leafy canopy, she found a purple-crested duchess monkey.
Princess Justina Albertina scratched under her arm. The monkey scratched, too. She made funny faces. The monkey made them back.
“Can you do this?” said Justina Albertina, making her meanest face.
The monkey shrieked and scampered to the tiptop of the bedpost.
“This monkey is a big chicken. I want a brave pet.”
Her nanny shook her head, but she surfed the swells to Australia and brought back the famous flying kangaroo.
Princess Justina Albertina made a fist. “Let’s try some kangaroo boxing.” The kangaroo flew into the sky. Princess Justina Albertina jumped up and let her fist fly. It smacked the kangaroo right in the face.
Her nanny ran over and pressed a cool cloth to the kangaroo’s face. “What have you done, Princess?”
“This kangaroo is boring. She can’t even box. I want an exciting pet.”
Her nanny said, “Princess, I think you have enough pets already.”
Princess Justina Albertina got a funny look in her big green eyes and started to fuss. She caused a ruckus and a rumpus and a horrible hubbub. She made so much noise that it gave her nanny a headache.
So her nanny took a hot air balloon and went to the end of the earth, searching the castles in the clouds until she found a gryphon. The gryphon grimaced at being woken up but he hopped about on his lion legs, flapped his heavy wings and followed her home.
As soon as she saw him, Princess Justina Albertina ran over and said, “He’s perfect. He’s exactly the pet I want.”
The gryphon opened his eagle beak and swallowed Princess Justina Albertina in one gulp. Then the gryphon burped and flew away.
“Oh, dear!”
