招贴的创意设计<span style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt">一、设计创意的涵义 “创意”所谓创意就是前所未闻和未视的，能充分反映并满足人们某种物质的或情感的需要的意念或构想。最基本的要求是，求新、求奇、求异、真实、有思想、有计划，以创意的图形加速传播信息，传达商品内容。说服消费者和大众群体，从而达到促销的目的。因而广告设计中的创意的“意”是指设计思想和设计策划，为了说服消费者，推销商品的一种劳务，是寻找消费者的一种好办法，好点子，让消费者建立一种新的消费理念。每种产品者有其特定的消费群体，在广告设计过程中必须充分了解这些群体结构和需要。例如，电动玩具是给儿童的，绿台球是给成年人的，食品要有天然的，美味的，香水是天然的，美好生活的，爱情的。在构思中找出各自特征，各自需求，各自心理活动。例如：“啤酒之王”广告以王者之风创意中心，以消费者心理需求为目的。用现代摄影的高超合成手段，采用比喻夸张手法，将小小的易拉罐啤酒变成超乎天地间人工特大造物，非同异常的品质和气势。山川、大瀑布、啤酒易拉罐，一派纯天然的感觉。创意中的“名酒王者、纯天然”，就是消费者真正心理需求，根据需求创造一个夸张奇特的有冲击力的日本名酒视觉形象和视觉语言。 可见，创意是无限的，每个产品都会有一个最适合自己的传播形象和语言，创意离不开市场，市场是创意灵感的来源，创意的产生也要经过足够的前期积累才有可能，这种积累越丰富，思维碰撞产生的火花越多，创意产生的机会也就越多，这种积累就是市场调查结果，它包括同类产品调查，消费咨询，并通过多次市场调查和信息反馈，才能策划出多种或最佳设计方案，最后择优定位。只有定位，广告内容和广告风格及品牌形象才能基本确定。定位就是创意的开始，是创意首先要解决的关键问题。下面有两种定位： （1） 比较定位 同类产品比较，外观、性能、特点、重点、方式、图形视觉形象，市场占有率，市场前景等。（2） 情感定位 产品是否给消费者带来感情上的满足，文化背景，时代潮流，社会风俗，消费者心理，找出关联点，配合消费者心理活动，引起共鸣。 通过收集各方面的资料进行汇总研究最后制定出版面、色彩、构图风格和图形的表现、时间与宣传的重点，这种严格的市场调查的创意方法看起来比较麻烦，因为广告不仅作为艺术再现的艺术，而是以促销为最终的目的，所以广告设计必须围绕新产品的特点，消费者心理需求来构思计划，这样的广告才能有针对性发挥现场促销功能。 二、广告创意的表现 广告设计虽然也需要采用艺术创作的某些方法和手段，但广告设计的任务在传递商品信息，说服消费者达到促销商品，而广告创意的内涵与艺术创意的传神是绝对不相同的，广告创意不是客观对象的艺术再现，不是作者主观情感的视觉化，而是对事物理解的进行表现，创造一个求新、求奇、求异、真实的能准确传播信息，传达商品内容的图形视觉语言的图象艺术。塑造的目标是消费者个性，心理活动的意境，创造一个鲜见奇特极有意趣图形引起购买者的兴趣，使商品在消费者心中留下深刻的印象，建立一种消费观念。 一幅成功有创意广告，新奇的构思浓缩的个性表现是设计师必先考虑的问题。除了有新奇的构思，浓缩的个性化表现之外还要根据消费者心理需求和接受的程度，以及消费者层次来决定图形的表现手法。手法有写实的、对比的、悬念的、连续的、寓意的、夸张的等等手法。不论什么手法，图形必须要新奇、典型、易懂、易读、易记强烈的形式感和艺术魅力，这是招贴广告成功重要因素。 从传播快捷角度来讲，图形设计要求越简，越明，越好，只要表达信息内容准确生动，尽可把千言万语浓缩成一句话甚至一个字，把千形万象凝练成一个圆形符号。就其感人的艺术魅力而言，艺术形象越典型、越单纯、越集中、这样才更易于内涵的深度。在准确传达信息的同时给人留下深刻印象和美好的享受。 例如：第四届科罗拉多国际招贴展中（捷克斯洛伐克）罗斯托卡的展览海报作品，采用共用形反向思维比喻手法，把“爱”“互动”凝练成一个圆形符号，简洁明了，突出海报展览与读者关系，把主题内涵提到一个深度。在目前一些广告公司的设计员中的人，不从宏观的、全局的、发展的构想入手，不是根据消费者心理活动和需求去求新、求奇、求异、真实的有思想的、有计划的创意，而是接到设计委托后，找来一大堆人家已经登场的广告进行仿制，其结果除了商品，厂标不同之外，构图文字，色彩、风格等常常千篇一律，这样的广告又怎样引起人们视线的注意和兴趣呢？不但达不到广告的传播宣传效果，而且造成了大量人力、物力、财力和时间的浪费。一个好的广告创意不论是图形语言还是文字语言最基本的要求是在广告中你要说什么、怎样说、在何地、何场面、何时间、对谁说，通过对市场调研分析后才能确定要创意的主题，从而选择最佳的独特表现方式和手法，达到准确传播信息，传达内容。 首先每每在我聘请助手的时候，没有电脑障碍是我的第一个要求，这一定算是基本功。 我见过许多自认为是精通电脑的设计师，但一出手我就认定他们的技术来自口耳相传，随时给自己的工作埋设炸弹，这些设计师的自信无疑会将他们不懂电脑的老板送向破财之路。当然，我每天都要求我的设计助手们不依赖电脑，这并不自相矛盾。不依赖绝不是说可以不懂，毕竟在我们工作中，从设计到印刷的每一道工序都需要电脑的帮助。今天看这一问题就象画家不会用笔的道理是一样的。 其次，对印刷知识的匮乏阻碍了许多平面设计师的发展。因为不了解，许多设计师认为自己的设计就是电脑屏幕上的样子，这很危险，因为技术的原因，它与实际的输出效果还有较大的差距。不熟悉印刷的特性与缺陷，许多设计师在做设计的时候不断地给印刷找麻烦，设置障碍，这很愚蠢。平面设计师需要了解的印刷知识有许多，比如说各种品牌印刷机的性能、同一机型不同规格的性能、不同品牌油墨的性能、四色油墨与专色油墨的特性、不同品牌、规格、品种纸张的性能、特殊工艺、后期加工及装订等等，这些都是设计师在做设计时需要为客户考虑的问题。 那么，懂了电脑，懂了印刷流程，就可以称作平面设计师了么？可能还不行，毕竟以上说的与“设计”还没有直接的关联。就平面设计而言，还有许多特色性的规律，对于这些我的兴趣更大。A、平面不平 二十多年来，我自己有过很多幸运的事。比如在我吃这碗饭之初，偶然在旧书摊上买过一堆“TIME”杂志，这是永远令我感到兴奋的回忆。因为那时我正被眼花缭乱的设计弄得五迷三倒，无师可从，这堆旧杂志让我开了眼，见识了正点。 认真阅读TIME杂志，一切有关平面设计的技巧都囊括其中，而且毫不张扬，温文而雅，为抄袭者提供了大量改头换面的空间。我对平面设计的理解很多来自这堆旧杂志。 “平面不平”是我对平面设计中画面效果的一种理解，很多人把它叫做版式、构图、结构、形式感…都可以，我喜欢把话说得简单。拜读了很多好的设计后，我感到设计师们都在有意无意地追求着“不平”的效果。即利用各种平面元素，在平面材质上（比如纸张等），努力拉伸视觉空间。这一理论，画家塞尚早我们一百年就开始尝试了，并已作到了极致。令我很感叹的是一百年前最不商业的令人类恐慌的艺术变革，一百年后却变成了最最商业的平面艺术，多有意思。这一空间概念涵概了自然空间感受与矛盾空间感受。随设计师的爱好、版面要求、视觉冲击需求、自由选择。现在已经没有很多人大惊小怪了，但无论展现自然空间感受，还是矛盾空间感受，设计师所使用的技巧（或称元素）是有规律的。把它们归纳在一起也有一大堆。比如：打洞；夸张暗影效果；使用极具真实性与质感的图象；实物元素与绘画元素的对比使用；利用色彩之间的反差效果；利用线与色条的叠压效果；利用文字与图形、文字与文字的叠压效果；文字之间大小比例关系的对比等等。因为篇幅所限，不作细解，今后可将范例作品与理论文字对照比较，一目了然。B、色彩中的音乐 色彩是平面作品中的灵魂。想运用好它一定要了解一些纸张与油墨的知识。不同纸张与不同油墨的组合，会产生出绝对不同的效果。但我们与画家的区别是：平面设计师手中的颜料只有四管儿，但它可以依靠网点的疏密特性，调和出所有我们可感知的颜色。这真是一项神奇的发明，作为印刷技术的原创民族我们感谢德国人。 利用网点与纸（白色）的配合，我们才能让油墨显得更均匀、鲜艳和干净。但这只是技术上的事，设计师在设计工作中对色彩的运用还要更多的依靠灵性。 我常希望身边的设计师朋友们能学习一些音乐，这并不是故弄玄虚，用音乐的理论解析色彩真是简单直白，这是我的发现。a. 首先懂得音乐的人都知道在乐器上找不到一个固定的音，音符“叨”随调式改变着位置，不同的调式传达出不同的感情，适合着不同的乐器与人声。这与我们运用色彩的道理是一样的，整幅画面的基调与情绪是通过画面色彩的冷暖传达出的。但从小我们头脑中的色彩冷暖关系就是固定的。红色偏暖，蓝色偏冷。其实这是一个错误的概念。如同音符一样，颜色随周围环境的变化转换着调性（冷暖关系）。懂得这一道理，蓝色也可以被我们渲染成暖洋洋的样子。 因为屏幕的关系，平面设计师已经不习惯给颜色以文学式的命名，比如洋红、群青、湖蓝，取而代之的是更简单，更直接的4个数字。这很好，符合商业时代或叫数码时代的要求，是个机械式的要求。对色彩调性化理解是对平面设计师灵性的训练。b. 其次和弦与旋律概念在平面设计中的应用 玩乐器的朋友都懂得另一个道理，无所谓哪一个音好听与难听，音符一定要放到一起去，才能叫音乐，否则“叨”“叨”“叨”一直按下去一定是噪音，“叨”“咪”“嗖”放在一起就变成了和弦“C”。这好比颜色中红蓝白的搭配一样，永远和谐。和弦可以继续往里添加新的音符，比如加个“来”这个和弦马上变了情绪，变成了一个7和弦。如果把“咪”换成降“咪”就更是大相径庭地跑到蓝调里去了，就好像在红蓝白的组合中，配上紫色或桔色给人的视觉感受是截然不同的。和弦一直可以添加音符进去，成为9和弦，13和弦……在色彩上就好比我们常说的高级灰。 明白这个道理后，我们就会更直接地理解颜色是应该分组使用的。这些组合的基础应该向和弦C、D、E、F…一样，有一个最原始的搭配，设计师想不断变化，就在这些组合里求变吧。你一定要把没关系的颜色放在一起，就象”发“和”希’谁也不挨着谁，两者之间没关系，你的画面一定平淡；如果你一定要把敌对的颜色放在一起，准会难看。运用和弦的道理去理解色彩，你会立刻跳出色彩贫乏的误区，发现眼前可用的颜色太多也太美了。合理搭配的色彩组合把画面的视觉空间不断拉伸，让画面不仅绚丽而且厚实，这就是色彩和弦的作用。 但仅仅有了和弦就能成为音乐吗？不对，音乐还需要旋律，没有旋律的音乐不好听。那么，平面作品的旋律是什么呢，它是我们眼睛观看一幅作品的过程。一幅招贴也罢，一本宣传册也罢，都存在着一个先看到什么，再看到什么，最需要人们看到什么，记住什么，回味什么的问题。这些就构成了平面作品的旋律，让观众的眼睛什么时候紧张，什么时候休息，最后停留在哪个地方，这是设计师最需要动脑子考虑的问题。 c. 节奏 根据我的建议，长时间以来，我的设计助手们一直在总结、记录各种各样的色彩组合。从名家的作品中，从各民族的图案里，从自然景物中，然后在实际的工作中我们使用这些颜色。比如我们为“好伦哥”比萨饼店做的小折页里所使用那一组颜色，就是从蔬菜和水果里找到的。因为我们需要一套让人看了就饿的颜色。但问题很快就来了，许多我们在名家的好设计里总结出的颜色组合，再经过我们使用后就变了样，没了神儿，这是为什么呢？真让我们苦恼了一阵子。起先我们还以为是在颜色记录时出了问题，查对的颜色不够准确，再后来的很多次实验都不成功，但幸运的是疑惑了很久还是让我们找出了原因。原来色彩的使用与音乐中的节奏一样，需要比例，许多好看的色彩组合还需要合理的色彩比例控制，在特定的条件下某个颜色的使用面积一定要大，某一颜色就要小，某些仅仅是为了透气，某些就是为了压沉，再往下我就没有信心继续寻找规律了，实在是变化无常。但可以肯定的是平面作品一定需要一种节奏的控制，控制节奏的元素有很多，它们中常用的就是颜色、图片与文字排列。 就象文章的刚一开头说的那样，我们一直在寻找一个没有定律的答案，正是因为没有规律，平面设计才显得有趣味，并且充满挑战 、刺激。许许多多的机会就是在无序中诞生的。</span>

<span style="FONT-SIZE: 9pt"><font color="#800080">《李永诠设计录》 <font color="#0000ff"> 〖华人设计师今日概况〗 近年因为与中国内地的设计师多了机会接触与交流，开始明白与了解他们在设计上的变化与特性，除此之外，近年亦较多参与日本客户的工作，故此对那方面的设计特性也加深了认识。 日本随着战后经济的起飞，对设计之需求相应增加，其进步与变化可以说是一日千里。战前充满欧洲浪漫色彩之趋向，逐渐受到美国文化的洗礼，同时政治、经济亦对本土设计带来影响。日本对各类文化之包容性很大，任何形式主义都可以在日本文化主流中泛生和演译出来。虽然日本对众国文化欣然接受，但决非无理性地“照单全受”。事实上他们对各类文化均加以逻辑分析和作系统整理，以严肃的态度学习：由“模仿”开始，成熟於“重生”、再以“修炼”达致另一种全新之表达形式。我们从六十年代日本设计着眼于“实用性”蜕变到今日侧重“艺术性”就能略知一二。 反观中国大陆设计历史较短，真正诞生期应始于80年代中的开放改革时期。开放政策启动国内经济巨轮，在短短十多年间，带来剧烈的变化。国内飞跃的经济发展，全面提高了人民生活水平，设计也因而受惠及得以重视。然而每一种文化推动都取决于不同之环境，经济，政治取向和人为因素。在这十多年的诞生期中，国内设计由原来之民族性，变革为模仿性，而过度到现今之“实用性”。当中也有部分设计师开始走向“艺术性”。尽管如此，其主流仍以实用性为重。但不难想象，假以时日，配合经济急速增长，国内的设计水平定会更上一层楼。咱们只须拭目以待。 在欧美日文明发达国家中，设计已被接受提升至“另类艺术”之层面，不再以单纯为满足商业要求为主要责任，或沦为“商品”之打手。其独特之创作形式及深度已自成一体。设计师之地位也由工匠升格为专业身份。创作本身由“概念”(idea)之层面，转向“表现手法”之原创追求。风格已成为一种必须之手段！但风格的营造及树立均需时间及附诸实践才可以达到“真”“善”“美”。要臻至“真善美”的境界，“经济发达”并不一定是入门的金钥匙。任何一个国家都不以“发达”或“经济”作为一种灵丹妙药；它们不过是一种催化剂，加速成熟之条件。但这种条件又并非人人合用，君不见在穷乡僻壤也能培养出不少素质极高的设计师！而香港设计界正正存在这方面的危机。 香港之设计历史固然较中国大陆为早及长远，在过去数十年间也出现不少素质甚高之设计师。设计由本来六十年代之美国化平面造型，漫漫渗入七八十年代之日和风(Paul Rand→横尾忠则)，到今日之字体主流(Brody,Carson为首)，当中的变化随着不同时代的大气候成形。但真正香港主流文化至今尚未出现。靳埭强及陈幼坚两大前辈已建立一种中国香港一体化之设计风格，两者对香港及国内（甚至台湾）的影响很大。香港在八十年代经济高峰期有大量不同风格之设计师冒起，百花齐放。可惜进入九十年代，政治和经济开始出现变奏，社会环境及意识形态和价值观都急剧改变，人人各自为政，设计本应提升至“艺术性”层面也因此受到阻延。 近年新一辈之设计师在“技术实用值”上的表现大大提升，但对创作及艺术之追求则大大减退。虽然很多同业首推“电脑”为此现象的罪魁祸首，但若加以深究，这只是其中一个成因。实际原因先按下不表，容后再谈。不过近年出现不少小型设计个体户。着重自家风格及形式，经济效益可能较少，但其坚持及认真态度可说是本地设计界的另一特色。确实可喜可贺。 台湾是较为有趣的例子。番薯文化形成这个小岛的独特文化。台湾强劲的经济使其独立产生一个自给自足之设计空间，其质素是可以肯定的，因为市场是一个强大后盾。当中中华，东洋及花旗文化共治一炉。而近年的寻根热更使小岛文化日趋成熟，从九十年代台湾设计界之活跃性就可见一斑，不过近年这种热潮出现整顿期的减退现象，希望这种状态不要维持太久，我也期待他们的新台湾文化出现。 <font color="#0000ff"> 〖我们是否要成名〗 香港近年设计水准在质量上比较平均，但新意及创作之追求则比较少，这或许是全电脑操作所带来的影响。笔者在此之说法可能比较主观及偏激，但真正出现的新人确实寥寥可数。诚然，社会及教育制度令新生代青年对人生方向和目标产生一种模糊及极表面化之观念。五六十年代，大众伦理以“好”“坏”作为做人处事的度量衡，但进入九十年代，“成功”和“失败”等同一切，“名利双收”就是成功最佳印证。大家从小就向这个目标进发，什么发明家，哲学家，教育家或画家，也比不上商家或企业家！以前所追求更高理想的事情已经变得太遥远了。人的质素因此普遍下降，专家多了，但认真的人却少了。这个现象在香港比较普遍，在其他急剧发展的华人社区也开始出现同样的情况，过分急功近利，以“赚钱至上”挂帅的大不乏人。今日，这种危机已成为整体华人要面对的问题。希望各同业能够正视，共谋对策。我们决不希望将来的华人设计师都是一些惟利是图的金钱傀儡。因为设计本来就是一门以人格及艺术为重之行业，因此从事这行业的人应有崇高的情操。一百年前的画家、教育家、哲学家或革命家，他们的影响力至今仍留存于世，但一百年前之财阀或商家，其名声及地位，已早已烟消云散，（试问又有谁记起香港一百年前五名最富有的商家名字！）由此可见，追求更高理想乃是设计师的唯一出路！ 近年在不同的场合接收到一个相同的讯息：不论在学院内或其它设计同业当中，都听到他们慨叹在工作或学习阶段中，得不着满足和享受。他们明显地不快乐！当然人生在世不如意的事岂止八九？但我在此谈的并非是这个课题，我要指出的是基本价值的问题。 “设计”这门行业是要经过极度漫长时间方有成果的工作。我所说的“漫长”，不是每天工作十四小时的意思，我的意思是十多二十年的漫长艰苦岁月！首先，设计业是较一般专业工作来得抽象及非理性，性质类似其它创作行业，如音乐、电影或文字工作，需要耐性，专业精神，讲求风格，质素再加上运气，一步登天是绝无仅有的，但年轻一代欠缺的就是耐性。设计行业可以说是一种“大器晚成”的行业，耐性是一种不可或缺的条件。其次要考虑自己是否真正热爱这种文化，我说的是“文化”而不是“工作”！若你对艺术，普及文化创作及美学有真正的兴趣，你就拥有入行的单程套票，否则请三思而行，因为入行十多年而放弃转业的例子太多了。很多学生只是喜欢这门行业，而并非醉心美术设计。“设计师”这个名字充满虚荣的诱惑。这种对设计的心态是很常见但也是很危险的，因为当他们晓得设计行业需要十多二十年才可得到认同的时候，若本身缺乏对设计真正的热诚，就很难挨过此悠悠岁月。 设计师理应从创作中享受其中之乐趣，继而得到工作的成果。职位、金钱及名誉反属次要，因为十居其九的设计人可能一生呢感籍籍无名，更难成为大富大贵。唯一可以让他们愉快地生活下去的，就是从创作生命中得到享受。“活着就是创作，创作是生命之粮”，创作使他们进步和满足。另一方面，这种最基本的态度也可能是他日成功之主要元素！但“成名”绝非参与此行列之最终目标。如果你去问一些成功之大师，他们会告诉你当初入行时并未有想到自己可以拥有今日的成就。但有一点是可以肯定的，就是他们极其享受所有创作的过程及成果。此种对创作之真，人格之善及视觉之美的追求，才是一个真正设计人之首任！ 但今天很多年青的设计从业员只以成名为抱负，或以成立自家之设计公司为最终目标。这都是一些急功近利之想法，与真正的成功背道而驰。这种想法就好象电影人只务求做明星而不懂欣赏或享受电影创作一样！这绝对不是黑泽明或贝托鲁其对电影创作的立场。如果名利是推动设计人之主要动力，我看此行业的漫长过程是痛苦而不只岸的！在我认识的音乐友人中，他们的生活可能比较清苦，但精神上他们绝对是快乐及饱足的。故此，如果你是真正的追求设计，快乐的满足比名称利就来得重要，也更长寿！ <font color="#0000ff"> 〖概念方程式〗 设计基本是从概念开始的，视象是其表达形式之手法。当然其中蕴藏实用性及艺术性，层面及深度可丛概念及视象形式得知。有些设计历史比较长远的地方，已经把表达形式之效果视为创作概念之主要元素。他们可能比较抽象，但不失其艺术创造性，在创作过程中一种不自觉之“潜意识”成为创作概念之由来，这种方法比较容易产生“雷同”及“撞车”的情况。我曾在不同设计讲座中用比喻作测试：问香港那一位歌星是有胡子的，十居其九都答“林子祥”。老实说，有胡子的歌星大有人在，为什么大家都要答林子祥？这就是一种“潜意识”之反射答案，就好象我问国际和平音乐节海报可应用之结构符号，大部分人给我的答案是：地球仪、和平鸽、五线谱、和平叶，等等。这同上述的林子祥例子不谋而合都是一种反射答案，这例子用对于未受过专业设计训练的人身上，答案也同出一辙。如果创作是以“潜意识”之表层思考作为概念是十分危险的。它有如露出水面之冰山，可见及垂手可得，但也只属冰山一角。深度及独特的概念是要往下追寻的。露出之冰峰，虽然容易觅得，但也因此缺乏深度及特点。反之冰山以下的空间是无限的，愈向深处寻找，未发掘之空间及境界也愈浩瀚。对上述之理论，我简称为“冰山定律”在我一般创作情况中，这种定律会被用作最前线构思，尽量寻找另类，将不同的概念演进，希望可以带来多一点新意及惊奇，效果往往会出人意表。我使用的方法不一定是最好，但它可能会形成另一种独特之表现方式。毕竟，设计乃在乎新及勇于尝试，而这种方法亦可能为日后的设计铺出一条自家风格路线。固然当中涉及长时间的不断努力。这样的风格是诚实、有内涵及充满个性，而并非以重复出现某一类相同形体为义。其中必需包括完整之概念和深度。从单一件作品是很难加以识别和判断其中之风格的，必须从作者过往作品之演化过程而得知。而这种风格之追求，是与作者之背景，喜好，习性，生活，年资，息息相关。这就好比音乐，古典乐的作曲家不可能一下子就创作出摇滚乐的作品。个人有自己个别之创作风格及位置，各自各精彩。模仿风格只可作为投石问路的一块小石子，情况就好象医生给病人开方子试药，过程需要时间细心观察，医生对病人的反应认真分析，直到找到病源再对症下药。 成功之国际大师都有一个共通点，就是具备自家之风格。这种条件是重要及必要的。但并非有风格就一定成功。风格之形成是一种比较复杂之组合，前面曾提到过设计是大器晚成之工作，就是因为风格需要不断尝试及寻找，当性格成熟后才能成为一种实体。可惜时下部分新进同业常常误解风格与成功之关系。他们努力地去创出一种自家风格，就认定这是他们的终生路线，往后的作品就如这般一成不变重复翻印下去。过早奠定风格，可能会错失很多自己应有而未发现之潜质及空间。故此我不大赞成太早或太年青就为自己定下方向或风格，应该容让时间给自己证明一切！ 当我重温自己过往哪个的作品，我发觉早期与现在的风格无论在构思和表现手法上都大不相同。但尽管分别很大，在早期的作品中已呈现今日风格的特征，虽然不明显，但仍有迹可寻。当然这种东西是要经过十多年才最后演变成一种较明显的实体。所以“性格及风格之进化”是我这么多年不断追求之成长元素。 <font color="#0000ff"> 〖电脑真正的问题〗 从传统设计操作模式演变到今日的全电脑化时代，有些潜在问题已经逐渐被暴露出来。一般而言电脑只是在设计过程中，被利用达成概念表达之工具，但其功用已超过一般传统三角尺，酒精笔，或喷笔等基本工具。因为电脑已成为概念结构的一部分，甚至对于 一些设计师来说，他已成为概念形成之基本渠道，原因是“软件”的易用性。故此，我们可以在同一时间看到风格、形式或效果十分近似的设计充斥整个市场。设计于是变得容易，因为容易，就成为新兴的玩意儿。本来设计是贵于创新，但今天很多设计已沦为公式化，好象同家族有血缘之兄弟，一切都似曾相识。电脑=渗入设计之初期，其独特性确实令人耳目一新，可以说是带来一种突破。可惜十年后的今天，它的进步及变化已经令设计举步艰难。设计师要花偌大的劲及时间才可把原本之风格打破及演变，但不知不觉又走回原地踏步。我曾遇见一位资深的设计师，在着手构思的时候，居然用上所有的软件，希望“碰”出新的灵感来。由此可预见十年后电脑的遗害性。如果设计师仍未能从软件中抽身出来，他只会越来越无助，走入一条死胡同。当然我们不能否定电脑对设计之帮助及效用，但与此同时，它的缺点也祸延甚广。值得一提的是，电脑所潜在的最大危机，非止于此！正因电脑实在太容易操作及掌握，只需经过九个月实习，已经可以熟练做出各形各式的变化，每一个操作员也可胜任，甚至成为专家。从前的优秀设计，现在一些新进之设计师也能轻易地模仿出来，甚至可以做到难辩真伪的程度，因此从一件作品是很难看出作者的实力。电脑也就是一台强力模仿器，故此一些年青设计师，只不过入行数年，就已经可以做出接近大师级的作品，他们对自我之评价认定就开始变得模糊不清，由起初的半信半疑至沾沾自喜，进而就是肯定自己拥有这种海市蜃楼式的料子。当然到最后，自我膨胀就是必然的副产品！从前基本入手操作之最大优点，就是可以按部就班地实习成长，每一阶段也容易分野：空间、造型、字距、颜色，各项之条件因个人之年资及天份而做出清楚品定。但电脑最大的问题就是可以使人迷失在这种质素之评定上。今日，单从作品是较难测定设计师之水平（有时候，当事人也被骗倒了，这是一种不自觉的误会）。笔者曾在选拔新人过程中，每每遇上一些表现十分优秀之年青设计师作品，但到了真正作业后才发觉其到达“成熟”之阶段还有很长之距离，但设计师本人是不明其所以然的。故此，笔者极力提倡在概念构思，或草图阶段的时候，仍要采用基本之手绘草图，在概念定下来之后，才运用电脑演进。这样做能避免被电脑限制各种构思之可能性。有一位老前辈曾对我说，电脑很容易令设计师变得取巧及懒惰。这说法并非无中生有，因为眼看时下很多作品都是千篇一律，水平不能说是太低，就只是觉得太容易，太相似罢了。日本一些美学分析家曾经对自家的作品严厉地批评，说他们的作品愈来愈平均，全为市场渡身定造，市场决定了一切，令人排案惊奇之超高水准或跨世纪作品就欠奉。这番话充满危机感，对我们来说是以及一记结结棍棒的当头棒喝。正当他们可以迎头赶上西方设计之际，对自我反省及批判仍没有半丝松懈。但正是日本设计界成功之处，也成为我们最好的借镜。当我们努力希望冲出亚洲之同时，应勿忘多作自家检讨评核。 〖设计之质量等同人格之质量〗我从事设计多年，曾经经历数个难关。我所说的难关，并非什么创作真空期。我习惯在一段长时间作业后坐下来重新评审自己的作品从其中认识及肯定自己的水准。在过程中往往会出现一些之前重不自觉的问题，通常我会将这些问题症结发掘出来，再做探研。可是在数年之前曾发生一件事：我发觉作品开始有重复的倾向。只有我自己心理有数，局外人是毫不知情的（设计师要对自己诚实，这是应该及必要的态度）。艺术创作出现灵感干枯，对每一个从事设计的人来说，都是一个恶梦。我开始仔细分析一切内在及外在因素：可能是忙碌，减少了休息及进修机会，于是我把工作停下来，到外面溜达溜达，看看欧美设计之潮流变化，购买大量书籍质料，休养生息进补一番，尽量把生活变得艺术化一点。一切我认为可以解决问题的办法都尝试过了，但是情况只是改善了一点儿，如此这般的过了三个月苦恼的日子，其间差点儿就要放弃了。我说“放弃”，并非停止追寻解决办法，而是放弃多年我锲而不舍的设计工作。因为设计已经开始变得嚼腊无味，生活也提不起什么刺激和兴趣，（那时侯我甚至怀疑自己是否进入了中年危机！） 后来在一次摄影展览中，欣赏到一些很人性的作品，大为感动。那时刚巧遇上我在学校时教摄影的老师冯汉纪前辈，在问谈中，我问了他一个问题：“如何才可以拍摄到这样的作品？”冯老师给了一个轻描淡写的回答：“他是怎样的人，就拍出怎样的东西。”我想今天冯老师可能已经忘了这段简单的对话，但这句话对我后来，甚至今天都有莫大的影响。在往后的数年，这句话不断在我脑海中反复出现:“什么样的人就做什么样的事”，一个十分存在主义的答案。 笔者多年努力不懈地尽心工作，尽力学习美学修为，用良心及责任心时刻鞭策自己，但岂料一直努力追求设计美学突破的我，竟然忽略了纯化自我性格和涵养的重要性。这是一个很大的绊脚石，如果人格、修养未曾有所正确认定及提升，出来的作品也只是一些虚浮俗艳之作，外表媚俗，里头也如是。在任何艺术或文艺创作中，所表现及表达的根本就是作者的心态反映，人格之反射。”俗人写俗文，凡家奏俗谱“正是此意。 从那时开始，我深深领悟，若要突破自己的作品，首先要寻找自我之根本，若人格不能进步，无论用什么办法弥补，最后也是徒然。色情作家的作品弥漫着情欲；势利之作词者，歌词中字里行间充满对名利的追求，这是理所当然的。 当然性格这码子的事并非一朝一夕可以改变下来，但我相信只要不断追求下去，人生（和作品）才可变得有意思，作品也因而变得有价值，如果只是单顾招呼市场客户之需求，生命也就降格到只为湖口而活着，最后耗尽一切时间、精力也只不过是为了满足最低层的生存条件罢了。一些精神，智慧之寻求，再不重要，万物之灵与禽兽也再没有分别了。这不独是设计师的悲哀，也同时为人类历史划上了句号。我们也曾见过社会上见利忘本之医师、认贼作父之警司、黑白颠倒之律师，他们可能是肚满肥肠之专业人仕，但是人格就完全失掉了。身为设计师，只要首先弄清楚本质之追求，加以实践，也就算得上是很了不起了，将来的成就及影响也是不容置疑的。人类历史之进化，不是只限于形体上之演进，也是思想行为修养上之进升，创作人更应关注此问题，因为它是任何创思泉源之起步点及中心意义！ 以上所说的只不过是笔者多年从生活和工作所体验得到的一些皮毛，听来略嫌有”老生常谈“之感。但若非有血有肉的生活过了二十多个年头，我想我也不能悟出其中真义。在此希望新进的年青设计人能愉快忠实地安守自己专业之本份，为华人设计界做出认真的成绩来。因为这并非个人之成就，这是未来华人设计历史的一份珍贵财产。我相信，每个人都有其潜质及才华，但最重要的是不要白白浪费它，天生我才必有用：”小莫小于水滴，聚成大海汪洋，细莫细于沙粒，做成大地四方“。千万不要小看自己做出的一份努力啊！谨此互勉！
