2em">“鸡”是“妓女的贬称” <p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em"><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em">小莲（化名）今年10岁，马上就要上小学四年级了，任小姐则是这个孩子家的阿姨。前天晚上，小莲在翻看字典时无意中发现字典中对“鸡”字的解释有点“奇怪”，就问了妈妈跟阿姨。字典中对“鸡”字的解释一共有两个。第一个是“家禽”，第二个是“妓女的贬称”。其中，“妓女的贬称”下还有更详尽的表述。 <p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em"><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em">小莲的妈妈和任小姐看到这样的解释在字典中出现都大吃一惊。据任小姐说，这本字典是学校给学生统一订的。昨天上午，任小姐还特地找出家中的现代汉语词典进行对照，发现其中对“鸡”字的解释只有“家禽”一项，并没有孩子手上字典中的第二种解释。小莲妈妈觉得这样的解释出现在字典中很不妥，当下决定要给孩子另外再买一本不同的字典，这本字典立即没收。 <p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em"><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em">记者专门在网上书店进行搜索，发现这本字典的介绍文字有一句：“专为新世纪的中小学师生编写，收录大量新词新语，富有时代气息。” <p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em"><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em">学生家长颇为不安 <p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em"><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em">可是，这样富有时代气息的词语却让家长颇为不安。这是2003年1月1日版的汉英对照新华字典，由南方出版社出版，定价12元。这本字典和其它新华字典不同的地方就在于汉英对照，比如第227页上“鸡”的后边有一个对照的英文单词chiken。其后便是对“鸡”的两个解释，第一个解释是：鸟纲雉科家禽，品种很多，喙短锐，有冠与肉髯，翅膀不发达，不能高飞，但脚健壮。公鸡善啼，羽毛美艳。第二个解释是：妓女的贬称。有的地方叫“鸡婆”，年纪小的叫“小鸡仔”，年纪大的叫“老鸡婆”。小莲说，她并不觉得这些是新词汇，因为她和同学们“早就知道了”。 <p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em">让大人不安的地方还不只这个。任小姐翻开该字典第233页对记者说：“字典中对‘妓’字的解释，也是不太好的。”该页对“妓”字的解释是这样的：1.古代称以歌舞为业的女子。2.以卖淫为生的人，女的叫“妓女”，也称“鸡”；男的叫男妓，也称“鸭”。泰国的人妖也是妓的一种。 <p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em"><p style="TEXT-INDENT: 2em">昨天下午，记者在深圳书城（罗湖）工具书书架找了几本同类型的字典进行了比较。商务印书馆2005年出版的《新华字典》第10版、延边大学出版社出版的《学生应用工具书最新版新编字典》以及崇文书局出版的《新编学生多功能字典》中对“鸡”的解释都只有一个，即一种家禽。据深圳晚报
