Growing pains（儿子参加英语演讲比赛写的，烦请指点）

儿子报名参加了第十二届中国报社“21世纪·联想杯”全国中小学生英语演讲比赛，初中组的演讲主题是“Growing pains（成长的烦恼），以下是他写的演讲稿（演讲时间2分钟），我可以说是个英语文盲了，请坛子的英语高手帮看看，演讲稿写成这样行吗？我儿子说他要以说唱的形式进行演讲，我总感觉有些不妥，但又说不出个道理来。。。。。。

Growing pains

Now, listen to the tale I’m about tell. Cause I’mgoing to tell you my growing pain. I clearly remember, when I was only 7 yearsold. I told my parents I want to be a cartoonist. They smiled at me and said “keepgoing, my child!” So, to achieve my dream, I drew comics in all of my classes.So, I couldn’t make progress in any other subject. Daddy and Mommy are worriedabout me, their opinions are just like everybody, “No grades, no success.”

Mydaddy said “Give to get!”

“Yeah!You’re right dad, but I don’t want good grades, I wanna hold my dream, I wannadraw in a garden with Eminem’s rap music. That’s my life! So could I give upall my subjects daddy?”

“Whatare you talking about, my child! You must lost your mind!”

“No,I’m still a normal boy, but normal life is really boring! I just can’t keepingliving this way, I don’t know how, why or when? To hold on to my dream or keepin the same way!”

Itry to get out, but these black clouds still follow me around. That’s why I satin the corner and drink my beer, although the alcohol strength is only 5.2.People around regard me as a bad guy.

They laugh at me “ You would never let yourdream come true, kid! You need to get your cranium checked, you thinking likean alien it just ain’t realistic!”

“Sorry, I’m not a kid anymore I’m growing up,I’m already made the choice. I can do anything I set my mind to! I won’t gosinking. I will be a cartoonist, a designer who even can design the monster! I’mgoing to achieve my dream, that’s what I want to do! Yeah, I‘ll show you what Ican do, dream or study, both I can do! I won’t let you down daddy, because I’mfeeling no pain now, I’ll smile back!”

还真有点说唱的感觉，挺新颖的，就是不知道这种创新体裁合适不合适。

他读过一次给我听，用说唱的形式，我觉得语速、节奏都太快了。如果是中文演讲我还可以评论一下，英文我就什么都不懂了。
