Heidi Thomas, an Endorsed SWR Trainer, dictates 2 spelling words from The Wise Guide Section A to a young student. This video was taken during the first week of spelling dictation. Because the child is just learning the dictation process, the teacher guides him to respond. Often times, young children do better writing their words on a white board or in a salt box than in a log book.

Heidi Thomas, an Endorsed SWR Trainer, dictates the first 10 words of The Wise Guide Section J-1 to her student. Several of these words require extra attention when we Think to Spell. Think to Spell is an auditory cue we give our students to help them remember how to correctly spell a word. It is similar to thinking wed-ness-day when you spell Wednesday!

Heidi Thomas, an Endorsed SWR Trainer, dictates 2 spelling words from The Wise Guide Section P-1 to a 9 year old boy. After dictation, the student pronounces the words for reading and "think to spell."
