The great Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi said: "Nature shows its true beauty without saying a word." Such interpretations of beauty, from scientific and artistic points of view, will be discussed by Nobel Laureate Professor CN Yang and renowned Chinese artist Professor Fan Zeng at this public lecture.
Professor Yang believes that the equations and theories formulated by great scientists such as Einstein, Newton, Dirac, Maxwell and Heisenberg are the backbone of theoretical physics. These equations are like poems created by Nature's creator, and reflect the true beauty of Nature.
Meanwhile, Professor Fan's philosophy of beauty is about harmony, Classicism and communicating with the beauty in Nature. He believes that true beauty lies in the discovery and imitation of Nature's beauty.
