标题: <分享> 一个马来西亚妈妈如何在家实施早教
也许对大家有参考价值。。。。

I do quite a variety. My girl sleeps with me, so we will have 七田真 time & play time almost everynight before bedtime or sometimes in the morning when she wakes up. I find nighttime is better.

- flashcard (pictures, 杜曼 English word cards, 杜曼 dot cards)
when she had not learned how to crawl earlier, she concentrates better. Now she that she's more mobile, I have difficulty getting her to look at them. (I'm trying out the 5-min suggestion, and she has improved slightly) Nevertheless, I keep on creating new topics, one day when she is willing, I want to be ready. I have 700+ cards, all home made. I searched the internet for pictures, buy & borrow books from library and scan them; and print on colour printer, pictures from old magazines, buy RM6 posters of fruits/animals/object and cut them out, paste them on A5 blank cards

- linking memory
I prepare 2 sets of pix cards, as I say out the story, I put the first set face down in a row. then I pick 2 cards from the second set (of which 1 is correct answer) and ask her to choose. The chosen card is placed (face up) next to the first set. When she has chosen all the cards, I open the first set. I think this way she understands better. Depending on her mood, I do 4 to 6 cards.

- reading - every night (before bedtime) or morning (when she wakes up)

- photo memory
I buy blue tack and stick objects on card boards (just like in class)/ I draw the pictures / I prepare them using powerpoint / use Lego to create different shapes. Practiced 2 to 3 times a week.

- play audio CD - Mandarin (ancient) poem.
I have the words prepared on the A5 cards. I let her listen to them first, later when she is ready, I will flash the cards just like in class.

- play audio CD - foreign songs.
Let the songs play in the background while she plays with her toys

- play audio CD - classical music.
I swich to classical music just before she goes to sleep.

- Aiueo song
I get the lyrics from the class teacher and sing them out to her.

- teach her colours
show her 2 colours, eg tell her "this is red ball and this is yellow ball" and then "Sherry which is red ball ?"

- bath time
put some basic colour balls and a cup into her tub. As you bathe her show her full cup/empty cup. Use some toys that float and some that sink..so that she understands the concept of float/sink.

- ESP - hand reading, prediction and etc.
I don't do telepathy because I'm not good at projecting image. But I have been told that with meditation, you will improve. Practises ESP 2 to 3 times a week.

- image training
I have not done this much earlier, but the is one of the most important training, so I will try to give this more time. A friend recommended that, just before the kid sleeps, dim the lights and say out the image training story. For kids, below 2 you do not need breathing exercise, they are already in the right brain state.

- language / songs
In Malaysia we have Astro, Astro has a NHK (Japanese) channel..sometimes, I put on the NHK channel for her (she doesn't really look at the tv, I'm just trying to create a Japanese language environment) I check the programmes, and found a good program  "Japanese for kids" aired on channel 35 Mon-Fri 1:10 to 1:20pm. This is the only tv program that I allow her to watch. I sometimes also put on the Mandarin oldies radio channel.

- music/perfect pitch
I bought her a xylophone and tried playing some simple songs on it. Not very successful because I did not learn music. You can also do the same with a toy piano (better if you already own a real piano)

- word & object association
For eg, i write out the word "dog" on a cardboard, and hung it around the neck of her 2feet toy dog.  Everynow and then, I will point to the word and say it out.   Sometimes, I will ask her "Where's the dog ?" and she will look at the direction of the dog. I do the same with DOOR, WALL, MIRROR.

She know it is a game. Whenever I say "Where's the door ?" she'll laugh and bang at the door. Once, I actually carry her to all the doors of our house and played the "Where's the door game".

- numbers
I write down numbers 1 to 10 on A4 sized cards, one number on each card. And stick corresponding count of object to the number. I use her toys, ribbons, candles, leaves from my fake flowers. These number cards are then stuck to wall next to her bed.  Every now and then I will point to the cards and say out the number.

-physical exercise
I get her to crawl more by playing the chasing game (I pretend to chase her and she crawls away)/ "Find daddy game"  where daddy will hide behind the door and calls out to her. She'll crawl to find daddy.  Sometime I pretend not to see her and call out "Where's Sherry? Where's Sherry?" She'll call out to me and I'll pretend to be happy to have found her "sit-stand game" where we hold on to her hands and she'll sit-stand-sit-stand until she tires out.

You don't have to do everything at the same time. sometimes I just read to her only. I buy lots of books for her/sometimes exchange the books with other mothers /homemade books (good stories which I download from the internet) / got a lot of second-hand books from older cousins..Sherry now has close to 250 books.

I have formed a group of 6-8 mothers who are all actively contributing. We communicate mostly via e-mail and I have not even met some of the mothers ! They were introduced via other mothers.  We will scan different topics for flash card and then exchange the scanned pictures. Some of us (like me) want to create all the picture flash cards (for future kids) whilst some mothers gang-up with another and prepare only half the set and exchange the prepared sets with each other. If somebody found a good buy, she'll inform the rest of the mothers. A mother who is knows Chinese Star will type out all the words of the Mandarin Ancient poems and pass it to the rest. Another mother found a printing company who can supply the A5 blank cards at half the cost sold at 七田真.

Your kid and mine have the best opportunity because they have a good early start. I always remind myself not to waste this precious window (0 to 6 years old) and at the same time, I don't push/force her because she has time to her advantage.

good luck !
