犹豫再三，乍着胆子建个学习楼，希望能得到更多走在前面的家长们的指点。先谢谢了！

孩子情况：
女生，5岁半，认识200个左右的Sight Words，过去一年半多的时间里，主要由爸爸给她念一些分级读物，喜欢看Peppa Pig，已经看完第一、二季。已熟悉了26个单字母音图，和一部分多字母音图。

11月5日，今天把SWR的Learning Log中的26个字母音图（P-1）做了一份样例，准备正式开始SWR的教学。
正式教学开始之前做了以下准备：
- 阅读1遍SWR教师手册，2遍Step1--Step12。
- 搞清楚了每个音图的发音。
- 将Primary Log扫描、打印、装订，复制了一本，作为教学样例（Teacher’s Learning Log）。
- 确定书写字体—-意大利体。暑假的时候，曾经教过她cursive草体，但还没等练熟，一上学前班就停止了。教学初期不准备采用cursive，因为Shirley的学前班有拼音课和英语课，分别刚刚开始学习印刷体和意大利体，如果再引入草体，担心她应付不过来。所以打算先使用意大利体，等适当的时候再重新引入cursive。
- 把SWR的Learning Log中的26个单字母音图（即P-1的Consonant/Vowel Page）做了一页教师样例（Teacher’s Learning Log）。样例字体采用了意大利体。图片晚上附上。
- 备课26个字母音图的教学课，在SWR教师手册的Step 9（P48），这一课对应的Learning Log样例页在P208。
- 准备以下用具：学生用Learning Log，空白四线三格书写纸若干张，HB铅笔2根，橡皮1块，红色铅笔1根。
- 本周教学计划：将26个字母音图听写到Learning Log上。鉴于之前已基本掌握这26个音图，所以进度可以快一点儿，初步计划在一周中抽出45分钟左右的时间一次完成，包括：听写音图、听写例词、用红笔标注。如果时间不够，就分成两次完成。
- 问题：这一页中元音的第二种发音例词，用的全是元音在音节结尾处的情况，有些词我们还不太熟悉，如item和unit，我把item换成idea了，另一个还没找到浅显点的词替换。是否可以换成use、cube这类单元音+单辅音+Silent E的单词呢？
- 下一步计划：开始WISE GUIGE Section A，并学习sh、th、oo、ee、er（备课见Step 10，P59）。其实这5个音图，Shirley已经熟悉了，只是按WISE GUIGE的进度安排正式引入，如果她状态好且时间允许的话，考虑继续教4-5个新的多字母音图。

现在Shirley的学前班也学了一些单词，老师留的作业就是每个单词抄几遍，写每个单词的时候同时念字母，比如：three，写的时候要念T-H-R-E-E。对此，只能在心中表示无奈（因为老师也很无奈，孩子们都没学过Phonics，只能这么教）。我们的处理方式是对孩子说，在学校里的时候，按老师要求念T-H-R-E-E，在家的时候，要按我教的方法念/th-r-E/。

“备课26个字母音图的教学课，在SWR教师手册的Step 9（P48），这一课对应的Learning Log样例页在P208。”

有时候像钻进了牛角尖一样，明明写在哪里，就是看不到。

昨天差点要把心里的疑问提出来，Y是有三个音的，为什么P208只听两个呢？明明写了vowel视而不见。今天再翻，SWR P50写得清清楚楚的，难怪瑜伽前辈一直说不能只认不写呢？

有一个小问题，为啥说多字母音图时，letter这个词不用复数呢，我一直有疑问？

仔细看了下，is 的s上面的2，不用红笔写，为什么呢？做ref.  page 时标记所用红笔，是着重表示我们正在讨论的问题。

is的s是第2音，但不是我们正在讨论的 i 这个音图，所以不需要用红笔标，只需用黑笔就行了。

不信可以翻看SWR 第56页上关于is 的说明。

以后在平常的听写时，标记是不需要用红笔的，只用黑笔就行了。

idea  应该是三个音节的词， i de a ，如果要作标记，需作成：i 下划线，表示 I usually says  /I/ at the end of English words.  e下划线，同一条规则。a 上写3，表示第3音，规则18后一句。

wash，除了a上用红笔写3，还需在sh下划一线，表示是一多字母音图，这一下划线不需红笔，只用黑笔。

你根据孩子情况改了例词，但是你对标记作法还没有完全了解，可以理解。

做ref. page 不仅是为了系统解说规则，还有一个就是慢慢介绍标记法。

没有关系啊，一开始犯点小错误是很正常的，SWR信息量那么大，第一次接触难免有漏掉的地方，这也是我鼓励大家写贴子交流的的原因之一，你要是不写出来，我又怎会指出你漏掉的地方，帮你纠正呢？

这不是难为情的事情，美国妈妈们也会犯错呢，也会有很多的问题的，所以多少年了，SWR YAHOO GROUP依然非常活跃，作者和有多年经验的trainers们帮助大家解决问题。

11月8日周四
晚上抽出近50分钟时间，顺利地带着Shirley把26个单字母音图听写到了Learning Log上。小家伙很兴奋，意犹未尽，还想接着听写后面的单词。可惜该上床睡觉了，只好作罢。

11月9日周五
今天下班回到家，Shirley兴奋地对我说：今天中午睡觉的时候都梦到咱俩听写音图了，今天咱们还接着写吧。
哈哈，头开得不错！
只是今晚Shirley要上别的课，只有出门前的20多分钟时间可以利用。（Shirley上学前班以后，每天的家庭作业不算少，再加上还有其它学习内容，每天不太可能抽出1小时的整块时间来学习英语，此外，由于年龄还小，注意力集中时间短，也不适合近1小时的持续学习。于是我初步决定以5个单词为单位进行听写，这样占用时间不多，可以充分利用小块儿的时间进行。）
谁知忙中出错，出门前一着急，错把Section B的前5个单词给听写了，呵呵！这糊涂爸！
这5个单词花了差不多25分钟的时间。原因是：正式开始前，按书上的说法跟她说：咱们自己写一本英语学习书吧，你写一本，我写一本，我先写了一页样子，你看看写得好不好？她看了我写的教师样例，马上表示她也想写。由于她太重视这本“书”了，所以写的时候特别仔细，还力求完美。她刚学了两个月的英语书写，还不太熟，又有我写的样例摆在面前比照，对自己写的字老觉得不满意，于是写了擦，擦了写，所以花费的时间比较多。但最最主要的是：整个过程的气氛很和谐，她写得不亦乐乎。这是我最希望看到的。我不想她把学习当作一件苦差事。

听写单词前先复习了sh、th、oo、ee、er，并把前四个音图写到了ref. pg.上。

Section B 这5个单词的听写过程：
家长：第1个单词：tan。She has a pale skin which doesn’t tan easily. （她皮肤很白，不容易晒黑。）
   tan可以做动词，也可以做名词，做动词时的意思是“晒黑了”，做名词时的意思是“晒黑了的皮肤”或者是一种颜色“棕褐色”，所以它的反义词是“pale skin”---白皮肤。你听刚才的例句里，She has a pale skin，她皮肤白，doesn’t tan easily，不容易晒黑。
   tan，你跟我念：tan，/t-a-n/，tan。（同时用手指比划fingergram）（这涉及到比划fingergram的方式和方向问题，这个在后面专门探讨。）
Shirley：跟着念：tan，/t-a-n/ ，tan。（同时比划fingergram）
家长：好，你把它写在第一页的左边那列里，从第一行写起，边写边念。（在Learning log上给她指出明确的位置）。
Shirley：边写边念。
家长：（等她写完后）好，这本书咱俩一块儿写，你写一本，我写一本。现在轮到你给我听写了。
Shirley：tan，/t-a-n/，tan。（这时，要求她也给我比划fingergram）
家长：（在Teacher’s learning log的同样位置写上tan。）
   你写的和我写的一样吗？
Shirley：（逐个核对单词的每个字母，同时嘴里念：）/t-a-n/，tan。对了。
家长：有需要标注的吗？如果所有音图都发第一音，就不用标注。（这个问话是后补的，一开始我忘了问她标注的事，直到听写到so的时候，她写完后主动拿起小红笔要标注，原来昨晚听写go和其它元音第2音的时候，和她讲了为什么要标注，她记住了，所以今天主动拿起红笔在so的o下划了一条红线，真是出乎我的意料。这提醒了我，每个单词最后都要问一下“是否需要标注”。不过，按瑜珈的提醒，除了ref. pg.，听写单词过程中一般无须用红笔标注，我们后来就改成直接用铅笔标注了。）
Shirley：没有需要标注的。

第2个词：can。I can jump, I can run, I can sing.
第3个词：so。You are so beautiful. I am so glad to see you.（这些单词和例句都很简单，就不用给她翻译和解释了）
   在so中的o下面划线。
第4个词：no。Are you a boy? No. （在no中的o下面划线。）
第5个单词：pet。Do you have a pet？No.

总结：Shirley表现得很好，字也写得很工整。Shirley爸反倒有些紧张，战战兢兢，生怕漏了什么东西，还居然会错听写到Section B去，真是……

在SWR听写开始前，有一件事需要确认：家长听写时与孩子的相对位置如何？
主要有两种位置：“相向”和“同向”，相向包括家长在黑板上写，孩子坐在桌子上写，和家长与孩子面对面坐在桌子两边；同向是指家长和孩子并排坐在桌子同一边。
家长和孩子的位置，决定了家长比划fingergram时的方式和方向。但不论哪种位置，都要保证从孩子的视角看时，手指是按从左至右的顺序伸出，且开始另一个音节时要有明显的表示。
书上（分别在P70和P80）和论坛中的示范视频所指示的方式和方向是针对“相向”位置的。书上的方式是：
家长面向孩子，从右手开始，右手掌心向着孩子，先伸右手小拇指，然后依次是右手的无名指、中指、食指、拇指。如果是多音节单词，第二个音节换左手，左手掌心向着家长自己，依次仍然是左手的小拇指、无名指、中指、食指、拇指。第三个音节再换左手。
书上画出的fingergram图，都是从孩子的视角看到的手形。
细心的家长可能也发现了，论坛上的示范视频中，是家长面向孩子，先伸右手，但是右手掌心向着家长自己，仍次为食指、中指、无名指、小拇指。不同音节之间切换时攥拳缩回至胸口然后重新伸出拳头，再伸手指。每音节不超过4个字母时，不用先伸拇指；像e le phant中的phant需要5个手指，就先依次伸大拇指、食指、中指、无名指、小拇指。
以上这两种方式不适用于“同向”位置。
我们采用的是“同向”位置，即我和孩子是并排坐在桌子同一边的，这样感觉更亲密一些，因为开始前我就跟她说，是要和她一起学，一起写这本“书”。我们目前采用的fingergram方式和方向是：全用左手比划（因为右手拿铅笔，不过书上好像不建议一边比划fingergram一边拿着笔），左手掌心向着自己，依次伸食指、中指、无名指、小拇指（必要时先伸拇指），切换音节时攥拳。这样有几个好处：1、可以把fingergram作为一种辅助记忆的手段；2、对小小孩来说，无须在脑中进行左右方向的转换；3、对孩子来说，无论是我比划给她看，还是她比划给我看，还是她比划给自己看，看到的手形都是一样的；4、对小小孩来说，对无名指和小拇指的控制还不够灵活，大拇指可以帮助按住没伸出的手指，如果先把大拇指伸出去了，无名指和小拇指很容易跟着全伸出去了。
我觉得这种改变是符合SWR的基本原则的，但是否妥当，是否在后续的过程中会出现目前没预料到的问题，还请各位多多指教！谢谢。

11月10、11日周六日
外面天气不好，所以有更多的时间在家里学习。
重新从Section A开始，分两次把20个单词听写了，大部分她都认识，所以比较顺利。备课的时间大部分花在找合适的替换例句上。书上的例句不能说不好，但对我们来说场景不太熟悉，所以有些例句需要换成孩子熟悉的内容上来。另外，例句中可以尽量多使用本节中的词或前面听写过的词。

1、top. There is a cat on the top of the shelf.
2、but. You can do that but be careful.
3、and. You and I are good friends.
4、cat.  There is a cat on the top of the shelf. / A cat can eat a rat.
5、red. The skirt is red.
6、six. There are six cats on the top the shelf.
7、all. All of you are my friends.
8、my. All of you are my friends./ She is my mom.
9、not. The skirt is not red.
10、ten. I have ten fingers.
11、hat. I have a black hat.
12、be. I will be there tomorrow.
13、am. I am a girl. I am six years old.
14、is. She is a woman.
15、bed. The cat is under my bed.
16、run. I can run fast./ All rivers run into the sea, and yet the sea is not full.（海纳百川，有容乃大。花了几分钟时间给她细细地讲这个道理。最后她没记住这八个中文字，反而把英文句子记住了，听写完后还把这句子抄在Learning Log上了。）
17、ran. I ran to the park yesterday.
18、go. You can go play after breakfast.
19、do. Do what I do. / Do you want some water?
20、did. Today I do, yesterday I did.

听写完后，又做了number page。样例及指导见WISE GUIGE的P200、SWR的step 15和P211.
然后教了她 do not / don’t;  did not / didn’t;  is not / isn’t，还多讲了一个 are not / aren’t。will not / won't以后讲。但didn’t的准确发音是个难点，我凑合基本能发准这个音，所以现在先让她听，她自己发音读准了还需要一段时间。这个慢慢来吧。
反义词过了一遍，Shirley有些茫然，可能因为当中有些词不熟，如：none、undo，也可能因为我使用的方法不太对。等以后适当的时候再着重练一下反义词。

【问题】Section A提到要做单词卡片，并让孩子自己把单词写在卡片上。请问：卡片要不要引入？使用效果如何？

我同意Randommaster说的，孩子都蛮喜欢用卡片排句子，只是累积越来越多，真的是......

还有我家的很喜欢自己造句，把她自己造的句子写在Log上，她很有成就感，而且还规定我也要写，妈妈很命苦，凡事都得当示范

sectionH完结后，我们开始按照swr介绍自制单词磁片帖在冰箱上，觉得也不错，MARKER笔写的还可以擦掉，写别的词，就当是学习后的调剂

今天听写了Section B的前10个单词。

2012年11月13日周二
今天学前班学到beautiful这个词。用SWR中的特殊划分音节方法（见SWR P88对buy的解释），帮shirley很快记住了beautiful。这个单词在词典里的划分为beau ti ful三个音节，SWR里划分为bea u ti ful四个音节。Shirley对能记住这么长这么复杂的单词感觉相当自豪。（一个星期后，我再次抽查，她仍然可以准确地拼读出这个单词，说明用SWR记单词真是省时省力。）
顺便推荐两款安卓手机上使用的英英词典，这两款词典显示的单词是直接划分了音节的，而且都有大量的例句，配合SWR和WISE GUIDE使用相当方便：
（1）       朗文当代高级词典英英第5版，这版是不带广告的，介绍见http://bbs.fengbao.com/forum.php ... d=763557&highlight=。
（2）       韦氏词典，这版是带广告的，官方下载网站：http://www.merriam-webster.com/d ... -iphone-windows.htm
另外，有道词典也有很多例句可以参考，只是单词不划分音节。

上周剩下的时间都在出差，周末Shirley作业和活动都较多，好容易抽时间把Section B剩下的10个单词听写了。
要兼顾的事情太多。真是心疼孩子，觉得她挺累的。
看来要好好排一下时间了。不见得非要每周一个Section，但一定要持续，让听写成为一周中必做的事情（我发现把一件事变成日常例行的事，小孩子的抵触情绪就会减弱，贵在持续）；其次要保证听写效果，做到：听到单词会拆解音图，会写，Fingergram要做对，会用这个单词说一个短语或句子。另外从目前的情况看，还是应该以5个单词为单位听写，利用小块时间，这样好安排时间，她也不容易产生抵触情绪。
看了几位家长的回复，卡片还是有必要的，只是以后数量多了如何管理卡片确实是个问题。而且如何用好卡片，还真得认真琢磨琢磨。这周准备以让她自己写卡片的形式复习A和B的单词。视情况再开始后面的内容。这些词中不太常用的是tan和bog。

自从开始SWR听写之后，平常不自觉得就很注意搜集简单明了的例句。这两天遇到一个句子，可以用在Section B里：An apple a day keeps the doctor away.（一日一苹果，医生远离我）。其中用到an、a、the。

【问题】
SWR P88中对buy的解释中，列了一些单词的特殊划分音节方法，这种划分方法和词典上的划分是不一样的。这种处理方式是在不妨碍单词发音的前提下作者自行做出的变通处理方式，还是一种比较通行的方式？作者这么做还有更深层次的考虑或原因吗？

【复习：Section A和B】
昨晚复习Section A和B，采用写卡片的形式。事先准备好了卡片纸，为也省事，用的是从附近小商品市场上买来的空白名片纸。由于Shirley还不太会在不带格子的纸上写英文字，所以我在卡片纸上打了两道格子（这个工作量也不小呢。呵呵）。
第一步：写卡片前，先让她快速地浏览了一遍这两课的40个词。
第二步：听写。让她用MARKER笔直接写在卡片上，听写的时候先念一遍单词，再念一、两个例句，再念一遍单词。大部分单词不做Fingergram，不帮她拆分音图，只有个别的帮助一下，如：odd，hill。
Shirley对写卡片这种形式还挺感兴趣，写得极认真，她自己还说：我怎么写卡片的时候写得这么好，一写作业就写不好呢？（她平时写作业时经常涂改，以致我强制她写作业时每个单词最多只能改两次。两次以后，写成什么样就是什么样，交了作业挨批评是她自己的事）。
听写的效果还算可以，40个词错了4个，pet写成pat，hill写成hell，last写成larst，step写成sdep。都是Section B里的单词。
第三步：组词或造句。让Shirley用自己写的卡片组个短语或说个句子。这是考查她是否真正掌握了这个单词。这一下还真试出问题来，一部分词她听写出来没问题，但不会造句。不会造句的词包括：top、tan等等。

【标记系统】
不熟的词要在卡片上标记出来（在Learning Log上也可以做标记），这是以后复习的重点对象。标记系统要简单明确，并需要始终统一，具体的方法各位家长可以自己制定，用点、符号、字母等等都可以，我们是这么标记的：听写不熟的，在卡片右下角标个点；不会造句的，在卡片右上角标个点，这样可以区分复习时的重点。另外的左上角和左下角还没想好标记什么内容。以后每次复习都要单独标记，如：同一单词第二次还造不出句子来，就在卡片右上角再标个点，最多标三个点就可以了。以后复习的时候一目了然，标了三个点的单词肯定要比只标了一个点或没有点的单词要更值得关注。

进度问题：
由于时间关系，昨晚造句只进行了一半。还有20个左右的单词造句要另找时间完成。
三周学两个Section，进度不算快。虽然我心里也很着急，但还是没有一味地去赶进度。由于SWR教学刚刚开始，我认为在初期进度不是主要问题，最重要地要摸索并建立一套符合自身情况的较完善的教学体系。虽然WISE GUIDE上有比较明确的教学和复习方法，但要转化成符合自身情况的方法，还有一个摸索的过程。一旦这套体系形成了，我相信以后进度肯定不成问题。

效果巩固问题：
根据前两课的教学情况来看，听写部分完成得都比较顺利，也比较快，但如何巩固效果，使孩子真正掌握这些词，确实值得好好研究一下。
希望其他妈妈爸爸们在论坛上多传授一些关于SWR复习巩固学习效果的方法。

以上两个问题，归纳起来就是一个“节奏”问题。忘了是谁说的了，做事都有个节奏，节奏建立并掌握了，事情做起来就顺手了。这好比跳舞，跳得好的人陶醉其中，哪一步应该踩在哪个节拍点上，哪个节拍后要做什么动作，都是演练好了的，这样跳起来才能体会到其中的乐趣。SWR的教学也有个节奏问题，也需要演练。什么时候听写，什么时候复习，什么时候换复习的手段，什么时候测试，每次执行的单词数量和范围等等，都需要有节奏，都需要摸索演练。已经操作了一段时间并且收到效果的妈妈爸爸们就是已经掌握了这个节奏。我真地好羡慕！希望他们能多传授一些关于如何建立并执行这个节奏的方法。
此外，也希望其他还在观望或准备阶段的妈妈爸爸们，在经过适当的准备后，还是要鼓起勇气下场一试才知道个中滋味，否则光看论坛中的帖子，最多只享受到“看跳舞”的乐趣，享受不到“跳舞”的乐趣。

随着学习的深入，学过的单词越来越多，所以复习也变成了常规性的任务，每天我们在进行新的内容前，都要选以前的单词复习一下，有时是听写，有时是快速读，有时是造句，形式不同，目的是一样的。此外，阅读其实也是一种很好的复习，其实更应该说是学以致用。由于SWR里选的单词都是按照使用频率科学排列的，我发现在阅读中，那些听写过的单词出现的频率真的是蛮高的。

最近几天Shirley表现极好，干什么事都非常麻利，而且这周末活动少，所以显得这周末时间格外的充裕，再加上备课时发现Section C内容比较简单，于是这周末在完成了前两课中剩余单词的造句练习后，果断地开始了后续的内容。
【Section C】
听写Section C之前，按书中的要求准备了道具：一个铁皮茶叶罐作为狗舍，一只小小的玩具狗。前10个词都是围绕这小狗和狗舍的，听写的时候用狗舍和小狗摆出各种位置作为辅助。这课的单词都是以前绘本里常见的，所以进展得比较快。例句也都是熟悉的语境，所以没怎么改动，直接就用了。

听写后，把书中的例句做成选择填空题，让Shirley做。
做前面的介词题时，再次用狗舍和小狗摆出各种位置，让Shirley做选择填空题。如：
The dog is___the kennel.（这里把小狗放在狗舍里面。她在横线上填上“in”。）
做后面的代名词题时，同时列两个选项让她选，在正确的答案下面划线。如：
（I / me）give Shirley a book.
Shirley gives（I / me）a book.

只是在讲解代名词的主格和宾格时，Shirley听得一脸迷茫。那表情仿佛是说：你不说我倒明白，你越说我越糊涂了。搞得我很是郁闷。
从她做题的结果来看，这些词她基本都能选对（除了这道题Shirley gives（you / he）a book.），因为她已经具备基本的语感了，如果选错了，她会听着别扭。但一和她讲语法，她就懵了。因此，我没有过多地纠缠于语法，这个以后慢慢来，只要现在她能选对就行。

等听写完Section C，备课Section D的时候，发现在WISE GUIDE 第9页，Section D开始前的说明部分的最后一段，恰恰讲到了学习进度和熟练掌握之间的平衡问题。Strive for proficiency, but don’t get bogged down here! Balance a goal of mastery and the need to give a broad-base exposure to as many words as possible, as quickly as possible.

此外，SWR中的step 13，详细讲了教学、复习的计划问题，并且给出了建议的教学计划。值得好好研究一下。

我重新看这里，e是rule 4，i 是rule5的后半句，按照前辈的表述，就违背了rule6了。

【Section D】
这一课内容比较多。按书上要求，先写了5个音图。然后教了Silent Final E的五种情况，接着分两次听写了20个单词。
此外，周末把C和D的单词都写到了卡片了，并做了一遍造句。掌握的情况不错，只有一两个单词有犹豫。但当再次讲解代词的主格和宾格时，Shirley仍然表示听不懂，但她能听出“Give a book to I(或we).”是不对的，却搞不清“Give a book to he.”是不是对的。
以上内容都完成后，仍有时间，于是把单词的缩略形式复习了一下。采用的形式是连线，就是同时给出缩写前和缩写后的两种形式，并打乱顺序，让她用直线把相应的单词连起来。这形式比较适合刚接触缩略形式的小孩子。如果采用填空形式，如：给出are not，直接让她自己写出aren’t，可能有一定难度。不过下次复习的时候，可以考虑试一下这种填空的形式。
这两天又把文心妈妈的“WENDY的SWR学习记录”通读了一遍，又有不少收获。此外，已经开始看SWR的第二遍，这次看得比较仔细，有不少新的发现和感悟。

rule 6，是讲at the end of English words, 不是 end of syllable,这是不同的。

【Section E】
写新音图，复习所有Learning Log上教过的多字母音图。
分两次听写新单词。

trade以前没接触过，颇废了些口舌来讲解什么是trade，但她好像还是不太明白。
然后把这课的新单词听写到卡片上。
以前是先写在卡片上再造句，但有时候会听错成别的词或拼错，这次稍微调整了一下顺序：我念单词，Shirley先用这个单词造句，以此判断她是否听懂了我听写的是哪个词，然后她拆音节、音图，做fingergram，再写在卡片上。这样可以避免她把一个词错听成另一个词，特别是以后学的单词多了，肯定会遇到音同字不同的单词（homophone）。
后面找时间开始SH/TI Page。

【听写、复习和阅读】
按照WISE GUIDE的安排，听写按部就班地进行着。但如何有效地进行复习，是一直困扰着我的一个问题。从目前的操作情况来看，听写是比较容易而且能比较顺利地完成的，但孩子能记住并掌握多少单词，对我来说却实在是心里没底。
最近研究文心妈妈的WENDY学习楼以及瑜珈前辈的回复，忽然若有所得。其中，帖子中提到了通过加强听力和阅读来巩固学习效果。

于是从这周开始，增加阅读内容，要求Shirley每天必须自己读4本分级读物。遇到不认识的词，自己拼读，实在不会再求助于爸爸。电脑里已经储备了大量的分级读物（论坛里有很多呀），足够她读的了。
先从海尼曼系列分级读物的K级开始。Shirley周六读了3本，周日读了6本。还自己要求每天至少读6本，我怕时间不够，也怕她坚持不下来，就把指标定在了每天4本，以后视难度再调整。只要能坚持，一年下来就至少1000本。呵呵，有点“曙光在前方”的感觉！

最近杂事比较多,没上来更新进度。这几天孩子病了。今天去医院看到人满为患。孩子们真可怜!

开始Section F之前，先把前面的100个单词重新复习了一遍，采用的形式仍然是“听-造句-写”。虽然形式比较单调，但我认为这方法可以最直接反映出哪些词是不熟的。结果是大约10%的单词不熟，这些词多是平时接触较少的词。这些词中有些是写得出来但不会造句，真正听了写不出来的极少。这说明她音图掌握得还行。也说明还是很有必要加强平时的阅读。

【Section F】
写新音图，复习所有Learning Log上教过的多字母音图。
分两次听写新单词。
听写过程中，/o/和/u/经常搞混。这主要在我的发音不够准。这两个音很接近，看来要专门抽时间和Shirley一起练习一下如何区分这两个音。
另外，/o/和/ah/（a的第三音）几乎相同，听写的时候Shirley也经常搞不清该用哪一个。
不过我觉得这个情况和以前讨论过的什么时候使用a/ai/ea的情况一样，只能靠记忆，没其它解决办法。多阅读，再加一些针对性的记忆，应该问题不大。
我最近特地看了一遍美语发音教程的视频，自觉发音有一定的进步，特别是对发音比较接近的几个音。此外，在听写过程中以及平时的学习中，也注意随时纠正Shirley的发音，因为发音这东西，一旦形成了纠正起来就比较费劲了，所以最好是一开始就发准了。
有些人说不用太担心发音准不准的问题，说小孩子有自我纠正的能力。但这个自我纠正应该对母语效果好一点，对于外语，很难达到母语的语言环境，所以其纠正过程就有可能是个比较漫长的过程。拿中文来说，Shirley从姥爷那学的把“茄子”说成“茄菜”，从班主任（东北人）那学的张口就是“啥玩意儿啊”，把“蝌kē蚪”念成“kè蚪”，这些纠正了很多次了也改不过来。做作业和考试的时候也把“蝌”标成kè，真不知道什么时候才能改过来。中文尚且如此,何况英文?反正不管别人怎么说，我们是力争一开始就把音发准，省得以后改起来费劲。
其实SWR的听写过程就是一个很好的纠正发音的机会，因为听写过程中需要一个音一个音的去拆解，正好顺便一个音一个音的纠正。

【Section G】
写新音图，复习所有Learning Log上教过的多字母音图。
分两次听写新单词。
周五Shirley开始发烧，所以后10个单词还没听写。
海尼曼K级还差几本，要不是发烧，这周就全看完了。一共70本，三周看完。这速度基本符合最初设想。SWR前几课的单词大部分在K级读物里都有，所以Shirley读起来很畅顺，偶尔碰到几个生词，她也基本可以自己拼读出来，而且这几个生词都是她已经掌握的听力词汇，所以一旦拼读出来，她觉得很自豪，很有成就感。
比较了一下哈考特和斯考特等分级读物的K级和G1级，觉得没必要继续K级了，如果老维持在K级，怕她烦了，而G1级的难度现在完成可以承受，所以决定直接开始G1级的。
我在电脑上用缩略图的方式把这数百本分级读物的封面显示给Shirley看，Shirley看得眉开眼笑的，这些花花绿绿的封面形成了巨大的吸引力，她迫不及待地要全看完。有一天她一口气看了8本，还要继续看，被我强制叫停。

这几天趁着Shirley在家养病及元旦放假，抽空把Section G后面的10个单词听写完了。此外，还把Shirley学校英语课的单词大约120个复习了一遍，其中既有简单的词如hop、cat等，也有多音节的单词如cucumber、elephant
等。复习的时候以大约30个词为一组，每组先用SWR拼读规则拆解一遍，然后在格纸上写一遍，最后由妈妈说中文，Shirley和爸爸比赛写出英文。最终的效果不错，写不出来或需要提示的只有五、六个。这结果一是源自她平时用功，二是出于SWR的帮助，确实可以起到事半功倍的作用。
复习的过程中，不禁觉得好奇，在那些用其它方法教自然拼音的学校里，像cucumber里的两个u、elephant里的两个e、school和teacher里的ch，以及elephant和eleven中的ele的，不知老师们是如何给学生解释的？这些词都是小学生们最早接触的词汇之一，躲都躲不开的，难道只能是不解释，让学生死记硬背？再次庆幸在很恰当的时候接触到了SWR，也再次感激瑜珈在论坛里长期地、不遗余力地推广SWR，真是功德无量啊！

【Section H-2】
这周完成了Section H-2，还学了最后的4个音图，以及I-1的前10个单词，进度比平时略快，原因是有几节别的课取消了，所以腾出时间来。
海尼曼G1级一共110本，目前已经完成了72本，基本能保持一天4本，有时候实在没时间看了就第二天补。虽然同为G1级，其中编号靠前的仍是每页1、2句，而编号靠后的一些书中的句子比较多，一般是有5、6句，有点甚至更多。不过，Shirley还是能应付得过来，偶尔遇到不会的词，也会试着拼读出来，实在拼不出来了，也会向我求助，如果不影响理解，她有时也会直接跳过去。
海尼曼G1看完后，打算先不开始G2，而是从哈考特或斯考特的G1读物里把难度与海尼曼G1后半部分难度相当的、句子比较多的挑出来，让她接着看，之后再接海尼曼G2的。

【Section I-1】
这周完成了Section I-1的后10个词，并且把H-2和I-1的40个词复习了一遍。
海尼曼G1级还剩大约30本，难度越来越大，每页的句子和生词明显增多，已经影响到Shirley对内容的理解，于是决定暂停海尼曼，换成斯考特（Scott）的G1级，因为斯考特的分级读物的电子版书名上都有标号，根据标号可以知道相应的难度，按标号循序渐进即可，而哈考特的电子版没有标号，顺序是按打乱了的，看的时候可能前一本是简单的，后一本就变成很难的了，所以没有选择哈考特。
看了瑜珈在论坛里推荐的音图和拼读规则复习的视频，受到了启发。以前复习音图只是让Shirley念出相应的发音就行了。目前拼读规则已经学得七七八八了，以后要逐步采用音图和拼读规则同步复习的方法，不但要知道发音，还要知道与这个音图相应的拼读规则。

最近杂事较多，一直没上来更新进度。好在SWR课程还坚持下来了。这段时间完成了Section I-2/I-3/I-4/J-1。
这段时间内还读完了斯考特（Scott）G1 ELL Readers的30本，中间还间隔着读了十几本海尼曼G1级剩余的。目前在读斯考特的G1 Leveled Readers，已读完30本左右。
利用春节假期，我学习了一遍LOE教学视频。觉得LOE有许多值得借鉴的地方。
这两天带着Shirley复习了一遍70音图，采用的方法就是音图加拼读规则，还综合了一小部分LOE的内容。由于是第一次用这种方法，所以是我带着她复习拼读规则，等以后再复习，就该由她主说，我补充了。这些规则有些她很熟悉，有些以前提起过，有些是第一次讲。29个spelling rules中有10个没有结合音图复习，可以找时间另外复习，而至今从未讲过的规则好像只有R16和R21。这次复习是以音图为主，结合与音图对应的拼读规则，比较系统全面地过一遍。以后还要找专门的时间把其中的某些规则再讲透一些。

您做得太好了，谢谢分享这些实用的例句。因为书上给的句子有一定难度，我一度放弃了写句子，只听写单词了。

请问：您在实践中，孩子听写过的单词是一定要让孩子记住词义、拼写吗?例句呢？或者只是根据手势拼写出就好了？我们用的是后者，感觉纯粹记单词太枯燥，可是听写过后的单词，孩子还是不认识，又觉得很遗憾......

唉呀，不要写句子的呀。我感觉你没有看书上关于听写过程的说明，这个内容您绝不能忽略的，一定要看一下，哪怕查字典也得啃一下这块内容。

还有，不知道您孩子听说词汇量基础如何？SWR的听写词汇 LIST 不是乱排的，有一定基础的孩子前一两百的单词绝对不会有词意理解上的问题。

以下是我去年12月初写的一份感想，主要记录一下学习过程中的心得。之所以没贴出来，主要是怕挨板砖。后来瑜珈在回复文心妈妈的帖子里，再次谈到这个问题，我把那个帖子的内容也摘录了下来。
既然现在又有家长提到这个问题，看来不少家长有和我一样的困惑。所以现在贴出来供大家讨论，挨砖就挨砖吧，只要这些讨论能对各位家长们有好处就行。

【听写、复习和阅读】
按照WISE GUIDE的安排，听写按部就班地进行着。但如何有效地进行复习，是一直困扰着我的一个问题。从目前的操作情况来看，听写是比较容易而且能比较顺利地完成的，但孩子能记住并掌握多少单词，对我来说却实在是心里没底。
最近研究文心妈妈的WENDY学习楼以及瑜珈前辈的回复，忽然若有所得。其中，帖子中提到了通过加强听力和阅读来巩固学习效果，瑜珈甚至还提到了到一定阶段就“可以考虑暂停了”。现将我的感悟记录如下，希望各位前辈们指教。
一、从SWR到底能得到什么？
这要从书名入手，书的名字叫《Spell to Write and Read》。可见，Spelling是主线，writing和reading是通过spelling达成的。
二、
为什么不必全做完WISE GUISE？
当Wendy到达K-3时，瑜珈回复说：“你现在是可以更多地加阅读了，到这个部分，phonics最核心的内容和方法已经掌握差不多了，可以自由运用了。还有几个必讲的部分1-1-1 page, Y's exchanging page, plus ending page 做完，其实也可以暂时停了。孩子对这套方法基本已经内化，会自主运用起来的。2-1-1 rule 可以在孩子遇到的时候讲一下。”
这里提到了“暂停”SWR课程。有些家长可能难以理解，为什么可以暂停了？我是这么理解的：这时候孩子已经掌握了70个音图和28个拼读规则，已经基本达到了学习SWR的目的，再往后已经没有什么新的核心内容了，只剩下新单词和一些不常见的高级音图了。孩子掌握了SWR的核心内容，夸张点说，应该随便拿起一本英文书就能读，而这时制约孩子阅读能力的只有脑中已经掌握的听力词汇了。这也是为什么很多专家都会建议孩子在学Phonics之前要先积累一定量的听力词汇。而学新单词不一定非要通过WISE GUIGE来学，遇到不知道的新单词，在一本带音节划分的词典的帮助下，掌握这些新单词也不是什么难事。
这时候大部分学习精力应该向听、读、说转移，而SWR已经成为学习过程中的一种工具，每时每刻都在运用，只需定期集中复习一下音图和拼读规则就行了。

问：瑜珈，你所说的“暂时停”是指不需要再从前面重新来过吗？或是连后面的部分也不需要继续？因为我看Yahoo讨论区里，似乎每年都要从前面的List再来一次，有部分的重叠复习。
瑜珈答复：Yahoo讨论区里绝大多数都是homeschool的，每天可以有固定的时间训练，完全课程是需要好几年的，而我们的孩子时间非常有限，不可能完全按照书的进程，而且我们孩子平常接触的英文量也不够，听力词汇量增长缓慢，到后面部份的词汇不懂意思的也会多起来，我们并不是要通过SWR去学习生词的。而是通过SWR的方法解析学习了几百个单词后，对英文单词的音素构成、音图构成、基本拼写规则建立起了一种意识，掌握音图及其发音，形成利用 phonics读写单词的思维，所以到了一定阶段，我认为可以暂停正常的SWR词汇的听写，但是这种方法是不暂停的，可以运用到孩子的英语功课、平常的阅读中去。
其实用Spalding这种方法的各种教材，除了个别音图、拼写规则略有不同外，最大的区别在于使用的word list ,
有的只使用1000个单词。

基于以上理解，我认为平时的复习，也不必拘泥于是否记住了WISE GUISE中的单词，重点应放在掌握其教学、复习方法，最终目的在于掌握音图和拼读规则。剩下的时间完全可以放到大量的听看原版音视频和阅读分级读物上来。对于初级读物中可能不太涉及到的词，如tan、bog、trade等，可以单独复习，甚至可以忽略不记。像tan和bog，都不在朗文说写常用3000词里，对于一个5、6岁的小孩来说，不必强求掌握。
另外，SWR的听写例句，一般只涉及单词的一、两个词义，像get、make这些万金油类的词，只能通过大量SWR以外的听读来掌握它的各种用法。
想通了这一点后，我们在复习的时候，就只做WISE GUISE中有能力做的，或能理解的，重点在复习拼读规则和音图。对于一时理解不了或记不住的部分就先放过。从这周开始，增加阅读内容，要求Shirley每天必须自己读4本分级读物。遇到不认识的词，自己拼读，实在不会再求助于爸爸。电脑里已经储备了大量的分级读物（论坛里有很多呀），足够她读的了。

您说得对极了，我在文心妈楼里说的就是这个意思。你的这番话对家长的启发会是大大的，怎么会是板砖呢。美国的homeschool教材，咱们还得结合中国孩子的实情。

家长们还是尽量写写自己的学习情况，与别的家长分享分享心得，在交流中不断完善教学，这样大家才能共同进步。

要是pazaimeije一开始就写出来自己是让孩子听写那些例句的，我早就会阻止这样做了呀，后面的家长也就不会也这样做了。

本周完成了听写Section J-2的20个词。
快开学了，这两天把Shirley学校上学期课本上的大约80个单词拿来给她听写了一遍。听写时要求她写出单词后要划分音节，并按SWR的方法进行标注。这样学以致用，既复习了课本单词，又复习了拼读规则，一举两得。结果是，单音节的单词基本没问题，个别的需要特别提醒，比如your中的ou是第3音等；大部分的多音节单词也还不错，有些音节划分错了，我会先提醒她错了，让她试着自己用拼读规则检查，有些她自己就能发现错误，有些还需要我帮助。比如eleven，她一开始划分成e le ven，我提醒她再拼读一下，她能自己发现按这种划分，le发/l-E/，念出来是不对的，于是改成e lev en，再念出来就对了。
此外，在读斯考特或者其它英语读物时，我会坐在旁边听她念，有念得不对的单词，我先记下来，等她念完了一整页，让她先暂停，然后把念得不对的单词让她按拼读规则再分析一下，或者帮她拆解一下。某些比较复杂的多音节词，我可能就会直接在纸上划分好音节，这样她一般都能按划好的音节直接拼读出这些较复杂的单词。上周她在我的帮助下记住了Antarctica和Congratulations，很有成就感。在斯考特的一本书中遇到detective，她第一次读的时候没拼对，我知道这个词其实她很熟悉，属于她的听力词汇，只是没在纸上见过，于是我没指导她怎么拼读，只在纸上直接写成de tec tive，她只看了一眼我写的就直接读对了。
对于怎么读斯考特，我原先的打算是：先听书中自带的音频，然后读一遍。这样听力、阅读和口语发音都练了，一举多得。可是Shirley是从念海尼曼开始的，海尼曼是没有音频的，Shirley已经习惯了打开一本书就念，不习惯先听音频再念，再加上她对自己的拼读能力还小有自信，不太耐烦去逐句听音频，所以现在她还是喜欢一上来就念，不听音频。为了不破坏她那小小的拼读自信心，我还挺纠结于是否强制她一定要听音频。反正目前没强制她一定要听音频，只是要求她遇到拼读不出来的单词时要听一下音频。听过这个词的标准读音后，再试着拼读一遍，这时听她拼读得对不对。如果还念不对，就记下来，等念完整页后再帮她分解拼读。
春节期间带着Shirley把拼读规则全面复习一遍后，就开始这样有意识地锻炼她独立拼读的能力。这样做的目的就是让她知道，SWR是一种工具，一种帮助学习的方法，要随时随地地使用，不是只有每周那两三次听写时才用到的东西。相信等她逐渐熟练后，她需要我帮助的时间会越来越少。

【Section J-3 / J-4

】
上两周分别完成了Section J-3和J-4，并通过写卡片复习，结果不太理想，这两个section里不熟的词较多。分析了一下原因，发现主要是因为这些词不在Shirley的听力词汇里，且平时在读物里不常见到，虽然能拼写出来，但不会造句，如：fudge、gallon、inch、spur等。看来，听力词汇制约WISE GUIDE的学习进度，这一问题迟早要显露出来。
天气渐暖，小草已经迫不及待地露出嫩绿的小芽。Shirley的户外活动时间逐渐增多，再加上开学了，作业也多起来了，所以现在已经难以保证每天四本斯考特的进度。不过还好，她的阅读欲望依然很强烈。现在家里适合她阅读的书很多，随处可得，她走到哪儿都有可能随手拿起本书就读，不管是中文的还是英文的。现在最大的感觉就是时间不够用。

【Section J-6】
上周完成了Section J-6。
刚给Shirley报了个英语班，由于是插班，有几课内容需要补习，内容还挺多的，所以最近这几周需要暂停SWR的学习，等Shirley适应了新的学习环境后再重新开始。在入班前，先后有两个老师面试了一下Shirley，都对她的认词和拼读能力留下深刻印象。回头看过去，Shirley从11月初开始学习SWR，至今正好5个月。我认为，对SWR Phonics的学习，必将在Shirley今后的英语学习过程中产生深远的、持续性的影响。有Phonics作为加速器，加上这两年来打下的基础，我有信心认为，虽然目前在某些课程上Shirley落后于其它同学，但在不久的将来，Shirley就有可能追上甚至超过他们。
下一学习目标是词根和词缀，这将是Shirley英语学习的另一个加速器。但目前还在搜集资料的阶段，好像分级进阶的只有Rummy Roots，国内还没得卖，更多的是大而全的词根词缀字典或列表。SWR里列出一些词缀，也够学一阵子的了，只是需要找一些适合Shirley这个年龄段的例词来配合学习。各位还有什么好推荐？

RUMMY ROOTS 是一套词根游戏卡片，暂时不要加入。我曾建议怡文老师从美国带些回来售卖，没有反馈。

常用的三四千单词很少可以分解出词根的，就算有，同一词根的其它例词很多也比较生僻，
这个阶段可以不用专门学习词根, 而一些常用的词缀会经常遇到，可以归纳一下，集中学习。

确实是这样,所以目前只是在资料搜集阶段。此外, 我自己也希望先学起来, 这样以后她遇到生词的时候, 我可以顺便从词根词缀角度指导一下。Phonics是从“发音”的角度对单词分拆、组合, 词根词缀是从“词意”的角度分拆、组合, 两者结合起来, 效果更佳。当然, 这是将来的事。

终于把第6课的剑桥入门级同步训练做完了。从4月8日拿到书开始，用了5周多的时间，把1-6课的课本学完，同步练习做完。模块测试成绩也还不错，虽然每次都有错误，但成绩都还在very good的范围内。而按正常的课程安排，这6课需要18周的时间上完。
这5周真的比较辛苦，同步训练需要写的内容相当多。通过和Shirley讲明白突击补课的道理，她还是咬牙坚持下来了。我们终于可以恢复以往的学习规律了。补这6课的同时，我们还跟着上了第7、8课，进度一点没落下。Shirley上课时参与度也很高，和几个哥哥姐姐们抢着回答问题，不亦乐乎！
Shirley说他们剑桥班上还有小朋友在一个字母一个字母地背单词。真替他着急呀！就算没学SWR，难道其它的Phonics也一点没学吗？他们可是小学二年级的学生了啊！
现在的剑桥课是一周一次课，老师在每次课后都会安排背15个左右的单词。这是Shirley感到最轻松的一件事了，这些词有一半左右是她已经会的，其余的就算不会写，上课的时候也跟着老师念了好多遍了，也就是说这些词在背之前都是她会读的，只要会读，背单词对学过Phonics的小朋友来说就不是什么难事了。
以下是我们背单词时的一些小经验和体会，和大家分享一下：
一、所有正常发音的单词基本只写一遍，不用特别去记，只需要让孩子把音发准就行，特别是/a/和/e/、/l/和/O/、/u/和/o/等等要分清。所谓“正常发音”一般就是指采用SWR标注方法而无须特别标注的单词，比如：音图发第一音，或在音节结尾发字母的本音等。因为这些单词都是正常发音，所以孩子按音图拼写出来就是正确的。这些词如果特别地去重复背诵，一是浪费时间，二是反而容易和其他词混淆。
特别强调一下发音，尤其是不会音标的孩子，更要家长帮助纠正。这样做是为了让孩子在脑中将音图和对应的发音建立正确的联系。发音不准，这个联系就是错误的，就要多花时间去记字母，而且当听到标准音时可能还是写不出来。
有个方法可以当作小游戏和孩子偶尔玩一下：在手机上装个韦氏词典（韦氏官网http://www.merriam-webster.com/d ... -iphone-windows.htm），运行后在搜索栏右边有个小麦克风的图标，点一下进入语音搜索，让孩子对着手机读这个单词，如果所读的单词在搜索结果中是排在第一、二位的，说明孩子的发音基本是标准的。注：其它词典好像也有语音搜索功能，比如有道词典。但运行语音搜索都需要连接无线网络，需要花流量费，但流量应该不大。
二、所有需要特别标注的词，都要把标注部分特别强调并记忆。所谓“特别标注”就是所有标注有1、2、3和X的地方，以及一个发音对应多个音图的时候，比如：/A/对应ai/ay/ea/a/等多个音图，这时候需要特别记一下这个单词用的是哪个音图。
我们采用的步骤如下：先让Shirley念一遍这个单词，试着口头划分音节，接着划分每个音节里的音图，然后试着在纸上写出这个单词，再利用拼读规则拼读一遍所写的单词，如果和正确读音不相符，就说明某个地方出错了。如果写出的单词发音是正确的，但音图错了，只要不违反拼读规则，就不是问题，告诉她正确的纠正过来就行了。比如stair写成了stare，这是可以接受的。要鼓励孩子尽量拼写出来，能写多少写多少，要多鼓励，不要打击。如果实在写不出来，或者写出来的单词无法自行纠错，就把正确的单词写出来让她划分音节并按SWR方法标注，并帮她纠正可能有的错误。接下来以正确的音节划分为基础开始记单词，把特别标注的地方特别记一下，记的时候让她在纸上写一、两遍（有时候她只需看一眼正确划分音节的单词就可以马上正确地写出这个单词了）。最后再听写一遍，就可以了。
整个过程说起来长，其实15个词一般15-20分钟就可以搞定，有时候甚至更快。一般的生词写两、三遍就记住了。有时候我还会和她PK一下，看谁记得快、记得牢。
三、此外还要复习。我们是周五上课，一般周一或周二背单词，周四再听写一遍。写错的再记一遍。复习用的时间就更短了。一般不超过10分钟。此外，平时利用零散时间听课文的音频。周五上课第一件事就是老师听写单词（这其实相当于又复习了一遍）。大多数的时候，Shirley在课堂上的听写是全对的。
四、家长自己也拿不准如何划分音节的，要查词典。我就经常当着Shirley的面查词典。这是为了告诉她：1、词典是最好的教师，词典里有好多有用的和有趣的内容；2、爸爸也不是什么都知道，也有不会的单词，谁也不是天生就会一种技能，但不会了可以想办法学会它；3、教她如何查词典。现在她基本可以在词典里找到一个词了，只是里面的有些解释还看不太懂。
五、强调一下，单词要结合课文或例句去背，要知道这个单词在句子中的意思，而不只是这个单词的意思。不要为了背单词去背单词。背单词是为了更顺畅地听或读。所以单词背完了，要回过头来听和读课文。

单词不是学英语的全部，而只是其中的一小部分。我们只是很庆幸能及时地学习了SWR，可以节省出大量的背单词时间去做其它的事情。

回想一下，当初你选择SWR时是出于什么目的？没错，是想学习Phonics你才选择了SWR，记住这个目的，在学习SWR和使用WISE GUIDE的过程中，你可以少走一些弯路、少一些纠结、少一些彷徨。SWR是一座宝山，有能力的就多拿，能力暂时不足的，就拿你最想要的。
各位正在使用WISE GUIDE的家长们可以回想一下，你在使用过程中有没有以下这些纠结：不熟的单词要不要复习呀？新的单词有好几个意思，讲哪个不讲哪个呀？例句要不要都写下来呀？例句要不要都背下来呀？例句里有不认得或不熟的单词怎么办呀？例句里都用简单的、学过的词，还是适当地加一些新的单词（可以顺带多学几个词）？听写时遇到不明白的地方，是用中文给孩子讲解还是用英文讲解？WISE GUIDE里的所有练习都要做吗？孩子小，手指头掰不开，怎么做fingergram呀？孩子用什么字体听写呀，印刷体、意大利体还是草体？反义词里有不认识的词，怎么办？
以上这些，都是我曾经的纠结，可能还有更多，现在一时想不起来了。
如果你也有这些纠结，那么请你想一下，你是不是把学习新单词当成了首要目的？如果是，你肯定会有这些纠结。请注意，这里所说的“新单词”是指听力词汇范围以外的生词。
无可否认，WISE GUIDE可以用来学习新单词，但这不是它的主要用处。举个例子，WISE GUIDE里有get、take、make，翻翻词典，其中随便一个就有几十种解释，再加上搭配的短语，就更多了，一般的词典都无法穷举了（别说这三个，就是普普通通的spring、bear都有三、四种毫不相关的词义）。这么多解释，如果当作新单词，你准备讲哪一个？这么多的解释，哪个才是这三个词真正的意思？是“得到、拿、做”吗？翻翻原版书，这三个词真正当这三个意思用的地方有多少？更多的是和各种词的搭配使用，变幻出无穷的意思来。这能从WISE GUIDE学到吗？不能，这只能通过大量的阅读去学。
什么是WIESE GUIDE的最主要的用处？当然是学习Phonics。Phonics是把纸面上的词和脑中的听力词汇对应起来的过程，就这么简单。学习Phonics就是学习怎么把两者对应起来，70音图+28rules就是需要使用的工具。而WISE GUIDE就是通过2000个词的对应过程，学会并掌握这工具的过程。其它的都是浮云。莫为浮云遮望眼啊！
英语学习包括很多方面的内容，不能指望通过SWR把英语全搞定了，它只是个Phonics教学方法。
有时候，我不禁会想，给有些基础的孩子只讲这70音图+28rules，到底需要多长时间？两周够吗？
回到题目上来，使用WISE GUIDE听写，就是把孩子脑中的听力词汇呈现到纸上的过程，而使用例句，就是把要听写的这个词与脑中其它的词区别开来。因为英语中有很多homophonies（同音异义词，其实各类文字都有），为了让孩子知道现在听写的是哪个词，才加上例句的，否则连例句都可以不念。比如，right/write，cent/sent，know/no等，一定要加上例句，而afternoon、window、tonight等等，完全可以不加例句，孩子也能知道是哪个词。
知道了例句的作用，很容易就可以知道选择例句的原则了：越简单越好，能一下让孩子知道听写的是哪个词就行了。

我的例句也并不完全符合我上个帖子中的标准---越简单越好，那些比较复杂的句子透漏了我心中的纠结---想在有限的句子中给她灌输尽可能多的内容，但都没有达到预期效果。所以现在听写的句子都力求简单。你可以再根据情况调整一下这些句子，把孩子日常接触的句子放进去，比如最近看的书或动画片里的句子，这样印象更深。

我今天第一次听写，发现里面的例句有些是偏难的，我们老大有个别的也不理解。别说他了，有几个单词我也二乎着呢，哈哈。。你这个方法好。你们两口子真是用心啊，而且两个人都能来，二对一。我们家一对二，压力老大了

我又细读了一遍你家的学习过程，感慨万分，这SWR的书也算看了两遍，但是还是有太多太多需要细细理解、深刻体会。我们选SWR初衷比较简单，就是要加强phonics的学习，弥补其他phonics教材的不足，所以心态比较轻松，因为绝对不会用这个教材去记单词学单词或其他深奥的东西，因为这个书知识量很大，但是有个很致命的缺点是太枯燥，对小孩来说那绝对是天书，大人看着也乏味难看。你家的例句很有借鉴意义，我的原则也是例句越简单越好。如果方便的话，能把例句文件发给我一份吗？copy的话，格式全乱了。

说明一下，这些例句只包括Section A---Section K-5，因为我们只做到K-5就暂停了。但对SWR的使用是不会暂停的，我们现在每天都在使用它。偶尔我也会在Shirley阅读或学习过程中抽某个单词小考她一下，这个词加ing为什么要把辅音double一下，这个单词加ing为什么要把e去掉，这个词有几个音节，怎么划分怎么标注，等等。

希望家长们根据自家孩子的语言环境调整一下这些例句，把孩子平时看的书或动画片里的句子加进去，这样印象更深。
这些例句中有些也挺复杂的，因为那时的我还想在有限的句子中多给孩子灌输更多的东西，但效果并不理想，所以例句还是越简单越好，要让孩子一下就知道听写的是哪个词。

【阅读时的试音步骤分解】
试音的前提是这个词已经是孩子的听力词汇了。
举个例子：giant这个词，假设孩子听到这个词的时候知道是什么意思，但看到的时候不认识，那么当他读到《杰克和豆茎》里 However, when she heard about the giant she made Jack promise never to go there again. 时，他不认识giant这个词，他就会利用学到的phonics知识去逐个试giant的读音，步骤大致如下：
1、分析整个单词，giant有两个元音i、a，而ia不是一个音图，那么初步在i和a之间划分音节，即这个词有两个音节。（遇到多字母音图时，需要试的可能情况更多）
2、分析第一个音节，g和i各有两个读音，分别为/g//j//i//I/，g在i前可能发/j/，i在音节结尾可能发/I/，于是有如下组合/g-i/ /j-i/ /g-I/ /j-I/。
3、分析第二个音节，很简单，闭音节，a发第一音，整个音节发/a-n-t/。
4、两个音节，重音可能在第一音节，也可能在第二音节。重音用' 表示。
5、于是按以下顺序试音，并结合上下文确定哪个才符合这句话的语意：
'/g-i/ /a-n-t/
'/g-I/ /a-n-t/
'/j-i/ /a-n-t/
'/j-I/ /a-n-t/ （根据听力词汇知道这个读音对应的意思是“巨人”，符合上下文的意思，到这里试音就结束了）
/g-i/ ’/a-n-t/
/g-I/ ’/a-n-t/
/j-i/ ’/a-n-t/
/j-I/ ’/a-n-t/
6、只有以上所有可能性试过都不对时，才尝试a的其它读音，以防它是个例外词，顺序和以上类似。

上述步骤看来长，实际在熟练运用SWR的孩子脑中至多2-3秒内就可以完成。

并不是非重读音节的元音都会弱读的，只是可能会弱读而已，试试gigantic，titanic，diameter。

【听写时是否提示音图】
听写时是否需要提示的原则是：一个音对应两个以上的音图时，需要提示；一个音只对应一个音图的，就不需要提示，因为这属于必须记忆的范围。比如：听写单词stair，比划出的fingergram显示是两个字母的音图，但这时仍有多个选择，ei、ai、ea都有可能，这时应该直接告诉他是哪个音图，不要让孩子猜，因为除了28 spelling rules涉及的以外，其它的几乎是没有规律可循的。再比如，听写bake时，fingergram显示是4个单字母音图，而且最后一个还是wiggling的Final Silent E，那么这时候第二个音图/A/只会对应一个发第二音的音图a，这时就不需要提示。说白了，提示的原则就是：不会的或没学过的或根本没规律可循的，就要提示，否则，不提示。初学不熟练时，可以适当提示；基本掌握后，不提示。

可能我看得不够仔细吧，音节的划分我现在掌握的就是一个音节必须有一个元音用手摸喉咙或下巴感觉发了几个音我看书上的例词跟我以前上学的时候习惯的那种划法不一样还要在学习中继续探索。。。
