My Week at camp

“I was so excited!” I told mom and dad when we went to the store to buy stuff for the camp. Tomorrow, out school was going to take us to camp. And this was my first time to go camping! I already bought a mountaineering bag, an alpenstock, an inflatable pillow, a sleeping bag, sunglasses and a hat. I checked the list and then said to mom and dad: “OK, I thought there was nothing else needs to buy, let’s back home.” So we took a whole bunch of thing and went back home.

The following morning I almost jumped out of the bed when I woke up. I quickly brush my teeth and changed my clothes, and then I took all of my things for camp and hurry down to my mom’s car. When we were at school, the school door wasn’t open yet. So mom and I went to have our breakfast first, when I was still eating, suddenly it was raining! I sighed, seems it really wasn’t the good time to rain. After the breakfast, the rain was stopped and we walk back to school. At school we took our bowl and put things in the bus. When we were all ready, we set out to the camp. It wasn’t really far though, we only took 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive. We settled the tent, I shared the tent with Kevin and Eddie together. Not before long, it started to rain again. Well I put my bag in the hotel nearby and waited inside for the rain to stop. I didn’t do a lot of things just went to the swimming pool to play with my friends in the water. At night we had barbecue for the dinner but we couldn’t burn the fire at first, even we tried a lot. Hopefully I pray and ask God for the help and it really work! The fire burn up and went off again while not for long the fire finally burning, finally we ate some delicious food. After the dinner we had a little rest and it was already the time to sleep. But Kevin and I stayed awake till 3 o’clock, we were playing the phone games. We kept playing and playing until I was so tired that I fell asleep before I even closed my eyes.

The next morning I work up early but I didn’t feel very tired. I went to my classmates’ team, Mr. David called all the students to worship the God. After that we started our breakfast. It was tunafish sandwich and it taste terrific! It rained again soon, so I went back to our tent with nothing to do. It was raining almost the whole day and it was boring.

Now it was the third of camp and it was sunny day finally! I had a lot of fun today such as swimming in the warm water, water fight etc. The best memory was the water fight with Mr. Jim and Sam. When Sam and I walked together in the camping place, suddenly Mr. Jim shot up with a water pipe, it was not the water gun. When we found Mr. Jim was shooting at us, we both took the water gun quickly and play together to fight back Mr. Jim. Now Mr. Jim knew the situation was not good to him, he took a whole bag of water and run to Sam then poured the water from his head to the feet. Then Mr. Jim ran after me did the same thing to me, we were all wet now. But we kept fighting with Mr. Jim even my leg was hurt during the running. I resist the pain and didn’t give up at all. At last we were all tired and nobody win the game.

I changed the dry clothes after the game then all classmates gathered in the playground. Mr. David asked us who want to be baptism this time, and lead them to the swimming pool for the process. We all went to there to witness the christening. Tonight we could sleep at 10pm, some students watched the movie outside, Sam and I played the game. What a good day! Tomorrow we were going back, I was disappointed that time went so quickly. Even it rained a lot, I still had a very good time. I will be excited for the next camp now!
